The concept Modeled after the TV-show “The Apprentice,� the Student Apprentice Challenge is a practical learning process through which high potential students compete in a 5 day challenge. Participants face with real business case-studies and have to provide innovative solutions that are relevant to the company. Meanwhile, they also receive direct soft skills training in leadership, marketing, entrepreneurship, sales, project management, and financial planning, skills that help bridge the gap between education and business environment. Result: the most intriguing and exciting Student Apprentice Challenge ever held by AIESEC South Africa! In a nutshell -

About AIESEC AIESEC is the global youth network impacting the world through leadership development experiences. AIESEC has been facilitating youth leadership activities as well as international internships and volunteer experiences for over 65 years, developing a truly global learning environment. In South Africa, we are current present in 9 leading universities and facilitate over 200 international internships per year.


SAC 2013 Where: University of the Witwatersrand When: 20th-24th September 2013 Agenda (draft) Block1: Skills Building. Sessions delivered by AIESEC facilitators or external speakers to help the participants gain specific skills needed to engage in the company challenge. Block2: Company challenge. Each partner company presents a problem, current or ideal, that the participants work towards solving. Block3: Day closing. Each team presents the results to the challenge and company votes on the winner. During the Tuesday closing moment, the final winner is announced. Time
