The Department of Renewable Resources at the University of Alberta is all about ‘natural and managed ecosystems’. Our focus is on the linkage of biological, environmental and landscape features to develop better ways to sustain ecosystems and manage natural resources. We have undergraduate programs in forestry, conservation biology, land reclamation and sustainable agriculture; and offer graduate work in five principal areas of research: · Conservation Biology · Forest Ecology and Management · Agriculture and the Environment · Reclamation and Restoration of Land and Water · Environmental Soil Science
