Alex Nesbitt

Alex first started working for the National Building Specification (NBS) in 2012 as a student intern within the Research, Analysis and Forecasting department. The scope of his research quickly grew into the area of BIM (Building Information Modelling/Management) through his own personal interest, and his keen attitude to expand on his knowledge in areas he was unfamiliar with. Alex is currently working part time at the NBS whilst completing a BSc in Architectural Technology at Northumbria University. His particular interests are Passivhaus design, BIM and is considering undertaking an MSc in Building Design Management and BIM. Outside of the 'work bubble' he enjoys the outdoors, socializing and taking things apart. He is a highly self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with a drive for change within the construction industry.
