Further Education
Erasmus Passive House Project Several people, myself included, were specifically selected to attend a two week intensive project, which will involve close collaboration with the students from 5 other European nations and construction backgrounds. The nature of the project was to design and specify for a “Passivehaus” retrofit to an existing building, with a strong emphasis on affordability & timescales. This allowed me to gain the experience of communicating with other multicultural disciplines.
NBS/RIBA Enterprises
Based within the Research and Analysis team at NBS, my initial role in this team was to give an insight as to what is needed within the industry from both a students and an Architectural Technologist’s perspective. This position was quickly adapted to the BIM research & analysis representative. This was due to my keen interest and knowledge in certain area’s of BIM. Another key role whilst at NBS was to develop the NBS Educator scheme. The NBS Educator scheme is a free information service not just for students, but also for current professional organisations within the construction industry. The NBS Educator scheme is here to provide guidance, education and informative news.
