Art is one of the most important things in life to lift our spirits and take us out of our daily concerns and problems, whether art is beautiful or challenges us to think in new ways. Art is a necessity. Sometimes when looking at art you do not have to understand analytically, because it registers with your consciousness in the realm of universal understanding. It is my passion for art that I am excited to share with you in the pages ahead. My wish is for you to share this beautiful book with your friends and families.

All my best, Margo Grant Editor Co-Director International Arts Festival Director MoRA Museum

New Haven, CT, USA adeniranart@gmail.com My attendance and deep observation as an artist to my society coupled with great aspirations and relentless work to attain artistic excellence, has provoked my imagination for making pieces of arts with the materials that would otherwise be considered trash or recyclable. These materials awakened and challenge the limit of my creativity to produce artworks that reflect my society and its mystic truths. My current series titled Society is made particularly with aluminum soda cans and the use of these items can reveal a great deal about one’s identity. Though we are willing to share a lot items such as spoons, cups and water bottles with family and friends, it remains a mystery how cumbersome it could be to share one can of soda. Therefore, making art with soda cans is to create a reflection of my society, enlightening my society through my visual forms without ignoring the purpose of aesthetic.

Oxidation, Rust, Paint and Life. These elements go hand in hand together as each try to reign supreme over one another. That’s what it comes down to in my ongoing series of works, OXIDATION. Explore with me the process as we see the deconstruction of our everyday materials such as acrylic paint, venetian plaster and latex to name a few. Combine that with metal reactive paints of iron, copper and bronze, when activated, create a rusting or patinated finish, unfolding the fleeting beauty that is temporarily captured as a result.

A Member of the Union of artists of Tajikistan, his works are held in museums and private collections of Tajikistan, Europe, Asia and USA. Murivat Bekhnazarov is known for his sensuous and exotic colors thataccentuate reality through his paintings. He is a current member of the Union of artists of Tajikistan. He is also an honored artist of the Republic of Tajikistan. He was born in the year of 1943. He was born and grew up in the area of the Vanj region of Gorno-Badakhshon province. He received his education from Olimov State art College in Dushanbe in the year of 1965. He continued his education in Estonia and graduated from Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn in the year of 1970.

Such is a metaphor for life.

New York, NY, USA www.lilyaart.com

Pasquale Cuppari is a multi-media artist and humanist whose love for nature dates back to his earliest childhood days. Cuppari was born in a farmer’s town of less than two hundred people in Calabria, Italy. As a young boy, Cuppari walked the fields, dug the soil, and drank the ground water from his family’s farm.

I try to express myself by going beyond the physical image and catch the essence of things. Using organic structures which make up this world, I build up my way of expression, through different themes during 40 years. The main themes that I have worked on are: - Marco Polo and the Silk Road - Angels - Mythology - Water.

Cuppari completed his education in Italy as a mechanical engineer, but realized early on that engineering was not what he wanted to do with his life. Moving to New York in 1957, Cuppari began a formal study of painting and music. He recorded several compositions and painted exhaustively while working to support his growing family. On New Year’s Eve, 1976, a devastating fire destroyed his house and most of his artwork to date. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the fire gave birth to Cuppari’s pioneering “More is More” philosophy of art which was a rebellion against Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s then prevalent philosophy “Less is More”. Cuppari found his first opportunity to exhibit his work in 1979, when he bought an old historical building in Elizabeth, NJ. He transformed this building into an “All Arts Center,” where he co-founded two galleries through the federal C.I.T.A. program. He recruited a group of artists and set them up with studios and workshops, including Alejandro Anreus, who went on to become the curator for the Montclair Art Museum and the Jersey City Museum. Through 1983, Cuppari organized monthly art openings and weekly poetry readings for this group and the surrounding community.

Sergey Dozhd

Painting

Doctor of Fine Arts Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Fine Arts www.dozhd.world Sergey Dozhd creates paintings, installations and performances that combine multi-layered geometric designs, figurative elements, and amorphous forms under an approach he terms “Psy Art”. Interested in the dialectics of artistic theory relating to the legacy of Malevich and the Supremacist movement, Dozhd is concerned with accessing the flow of the inner mind to construct an innovative visual language and rendering to create a new artistic reality”. Dozhd’s ideas are commonly manifest in his paintings through the building of geometric layers including circular, triangular and cuboid motifs to construct imagery that evokes the cosmological and transcendental. . It is this ambiguity of form and position that opens the work to interpretation while placing it within the lineage, as Dozhd puts it, of the “abstraction of Kazimir Malevich, the romantic abstraction of Kandinsky, the seminal abstract and philosophical paintings of Pablo Picasso and the quasi-abstract works of Mark Rothko”. In fact it is Dozhd’s aim to discover what lies beyond “this threshold of the unknown” that he considers the aforementioned artists brought us to, and that he believes, has not been fully explored since their time. Dozhd’s work excavates the workings and imaginings of our deeper selves; the unconscious flow of our “inner-ness” and harnesses that cognitive power to constantly expand his visual lexicon. Dozhd’s works have been shown all over the world in the most prestigious artistic institutions.

Aleksander Dudorov

Painting

Saint-Petersburg Russian Federation a_dudorov@list.ru Creativity of A.Dudorov distinguishes searching, natural interest to world around: here and light northern sky, and sensation of cleanliness of frosty northern winter penetrating deeply in soul, and hardly perceptible, but clear, a smell of new-mown grass, and melodies of solemn Petersburg architecture, and running through a rain surrealistic trams, and flowers so loved by him. The artist carefully peers at details, not missing any nuance of life, and widely generalizing, with metaphysical scope gives freedom to emotions, specifying the shortest way to exhaustive clearness. It is extremely difficult to inhale a life in a picture, that, actually is an essential task of the master with divine gift. The form, color, texture, touch, light - all this in a harmonious combination also generates a necessary degree of persuasiveness of art of A.Dudorov. The state museums of Russia get works of the artist, and hundreds his pictures have gone away on the world, being in private collections.

www.orbvista.com info@agoffice.com Alex AG was born in Moscow Russia and for the last two decades resides in New York. His works are digitally modified panoramas, reflecting different concepts and illustrating altered reality. The artist believes that ability to recognize the existence of alternative views of the world is a key to enjoying art and to the future of the humanity in general. Alex's works intend to discover beauty and harmony in everything: from wild nature to urban scenery. Most of Alex AG works depict urban landscapes in large cities, however, large part of the collections is vistas of nature, or single depiction of people, animals and non-animated objects. Another area to which artist is paying extremely close attention is methods of printing the artwork. Alex employs several processes, including printing on standard metal surfaces, custom print on materials such as leather, steel, stone... The separate area of Alex AG works is printing on transparent and semitransparent surfaces, including multi-layered prints on glass and prints on semiprecious stones, which require illumination for display. AG works have participated in a number of events, including exhibitions, concerts. His works are currently part of permanent exhibition at MORA museum. Alex has started and continues the Pop-Up Gallery events for artists in New York.

New York, NY, USA www.kafanov.com In an interview Kafanov has said that, “I paint all the time. I don’t wake up in the morning, get dressed to paint, finish in the evening and go home to my regular life. Art is my life.” This is borne out by the searching quality of his work, in which one thing leads so naturally to another – from one medium to another, from one experiment to another, and circling back through the same themes but seen from different angles or lenses.

Yelena Kimelblat

Painting

Springfield, NJ, USA www.yelenakimelblat.com kimelblat@comcast.net Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Yelena immigrated to the United States in 1988. Yelena never formally learned how to paint. She acquired a dual Master’s Degree in Geophysics and Computer Science and working in the field of Information Technology. Yelena Kimelblat started to paint in 2008 and art became a means for Yelena to share with others her vision of life. Yelena: “The root of my creativity stems from a desire to live a long life free from unhappiness, awe before the awesome beauty of the natural world and the desire to include this beauty within my own life and say to others “I see it this way!” People Artist of Ukraine, Academic Mikhail Turovsky: “Yelena’s paintings belong to absolutely new genre... This genre is very much understood by the people who are absolutely new in the world of visual art. Yelena has the uncanny ability to see the unexpected side of the plain and the ordinary. One cannot arrive at this place with reason and logic. Her metaphoric thinking leads her to decisions that are so far from ordinary human associations that it amazes me beyond words, one who has seen everything within my long life of creativity. That which Yelena is doing doesn’t fit within the understanding of artistic movements and schools of thought. She does not belong to any movement. She is on her own. She gives birth to her art pieces somehow naturally, and they naturally communicate to us that which belongs only to her: her visions of things and happenings - her inner world. This perspective finds a connection with the people who view Yelena’s paintings. She is developing her own audience. I think this is happening because the joy of being with which Yelena lives and works is being conveyed to people.” Yelena’s paintings are on display at private collections all over the world as well as in Columbia University Medical Center in New York, where she participated at 4th Annual Art Exhibit in May-July, 2013, 2014, and 2015 and received “Best in show” awards. Yelena Kimelblat participated in International Art Festival, Highline Loft Gallery in November of 2016. Recently Yelena exhibited her art works at Museum of Russian Art, Jersey City, NJ.

Ella’s high professionalism as a sculptor, coupled with her intuition, her innate sense of form and her personal vision makes the artist’s work truly unique and admirable. A nude is not about portraying flesh, muscle, bone or skin. It only serves to bare the human story enclosed within. “My sculptures display a moment frozen for infinity”, says the artist. “Yet, they are ever ready to move, breathe and speak”. We live in a world where the human potential for good and evil has increased enormously, in a world of very few illusions and definite answers. The eternal harmony manifested in the art of the Renaissance seems gone forever. Ella Kogan expresses through her work the eternal uncertainly and inherent turmoil of the human predicament. Out of the disintegrated parts of a once finished sculpture a work infused with new insight is born. “I do not claim to know all the answers”, says the artist. “In fact, I feel that I have succeeded in bringing a sculpture to life when someone can imagine the same subject differently from how I represented it.”

Ella Kogan Composed, unruffled and free, “Man in a Straitjacket” wears this symbolic coat of captivity with a look of bitter disappointment. While everyone keeps themselves at a distracting, ignorant pace, “Man in a Straitjacket” seems to be the only one that is actually free. As a metaphorical force aimed at the shackles of our lifestyle, outside eyes immediately turn to assumption and pity. “Man in a Straitjacket” is free from ego, free from judgment and full of wisdom and strength because he knows that nothing matters as long as you are free. Everyone feels confined by some sort of straitjacket, but true freedom lies on a different plane.

Ella Kogan

Ella Kogan Inspired by the Roaring 20s, this is a story of character, of time and of the destruction of humanity. Her wisdom lies within the glamorous life she once led, and is revealed reflectively as she rests with little of it left. Her skin carries the weight of time, weathering with each passing day. This sculpture captures Kogan’s gift for accurately portraying the flawed greatness of humanity. “Forgotten Woman” is a timeless spirit that sends a message of female strength and self-rise, if age and social status are demolished. While the viewer is meant to believe this woman has been disregarded, her story remains etched in stone.

With his nose turned to the sky, the subject of “Clown” is a representation of insight and experience. Reflecting on layers of his life span, stories of the past, the subject of this piece carries pain and hardship; compassion and understanding. “Clown” tells us how to accept things we cannot change, change the things we can, and have the wisdom to know the difference.

Ella Kogan

Ella Kogan A fierce representation of Judaism, “Jew” is a profound depiction of what it means to be Jewish. It is clay manipulated into a striking embodiment of horror, hardship and alienation within an everlasting story of joyous rituals, family, love, faith, endurance and celebration. Kogan, whose Jewish background influences her work, expresses all that encompasses Jewish tradition and history. Embodying aspects as big as the Holocaust and as small as the taste of Challah bread, “Jew” manifests every detail. This piece gives a remarkable insight into Kogan’s use of facial language to communicate an intense and deeply psychological message.

This piece takes you to the 12th century, to the dark cave, wet with dew, the pages of ink slowly drying as cloaked monks pass each other in silence. With the dark mystery of a monastery, “Monk” is a visual depiction of a medieval life, creating an enigmatic energy and representing a long, long time ago.

Ella Kogan “Quidam is a performer, the foul clown from the cast of Cirque du Soleil, seen at the height of excitement. What the audience does not know, might surprise them. Quidam is not human, but a creature from another world, carrying out his passion. With him come talent, focus and mystery. The arch of the back, the motion of his scarf and his slighteyed deranged gaze contribute to this sharp representation of the importance of balance. He aims to blend in, but is so natural at sticking out.

Kuk Studio

Mixed Media

Englewood Cliffs NJ, USA www.kuk-art.net Nikolay Kuk & Lidia Kirillova Nikolay Kuk - Artist Statement Ideas fly in the air, transform into symbols and incarnate into artistic images, while passing from the invisible, and into the visible world. Icons can serve as an example of the sequential steps of such a passage. The artists Kandinsky and Malevitch worked in accordance with the same principal of treble [Trinity] on their supremacist, and constructivist paintings in the 1920s: 1 - The Idea, 2 - The Symbol, 3 - Incarnation into The Image. I feel an endless depth - a most desirable space behind a good painting, while standing in front of it. Therefore I do not feel confined in my small art studio. It is the creations that give space and power back to me. Constructivism is based on three basic shapes: Circle, Triangle and Square. The Circle may be defined as the fullest characteristic of space: Planets, Stars, Black Holes. It is the basis of all existence in the universe. The Triangle is all that has and all that has yet to exist on Earth: the Past, Present and Future; Length, Height and Depth; God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit; the relation of the circle length to its diameter - 3.14 The Square does represent the triangle’s unity with its mirror reflection across the diagonal. This reflection is a Magical Wonderland – a world which is given to us for us to understand Magic, and Charms. The Cross is the religious absolute of all the existence. Every religion has an exhaustive meaning behind it: crucifixion, swastika, etc. -- When I look at a painting, I either have a good or a bad emotion. Somewhat like a dog, looking at a painting of a cat, unexpectedly started barking until the picture was turned off. On the other side, I record my sight, and tactile feelings and ideas, back into my paintings. ------ Lidia Kirillova, a.k.a Lika, graduated from the Moscow Pedagogical Institute with a Graphic Arts major in 1960. She worked for many years as a graphic designer in fashion advertising. When she married Kuk, she also became a nonconformist artist and regularly took part in underground arts’ exhibitions. Kuk and Lika became likeminded, towards their artistic credo. They chose esoteric mysticism as the theoretical basis for their art - the ideal measure of intervention in relation to Universal secrets. Lika possessed the gift of clairvoyance. She studied and then taught astrology. Iconographic images of the zodiac signs became the main theme of her art. Both Kuk and Lika paint not faces but images, not things but essences, symbols - beyond the material world. Lika created portraits of people via astrological knowledge. Contemporary objects became symbols that presented the subconscious (ethos) of her clients.

Watchung, NJ, USA www.lenazhenart.com Destruction and redemption. Desperation and hope. Modern “progress” has produced a synonymous relationship between creation and destruction. To understand it, it is not enough to look towards science, which does not offer all the answers. To moderate it, the human instinct and emotions are as much a weapon as economics and reason. I am trying to subvert the lamentable gender stereotypes surrounding emotionality and irrationality by blending images of nature and humanity, to remind the world that the two are one and the same. “Sensing, feeling, intuiting”, associated with weakness and wrongness, has been used to discredit women and their contributions for centuries. But what is logic without feeling? What is reason without humanity and compassion? Dangerous, destructive, deadly. Our human shapes, our curves, are the curves of stones, softened by millennia of turbulence; the curves of birds, our prehistoric cousins; the curves of horses, our proud servants for centuries. In my studio, located among forest treetops, I paint intuition and emotion of a humanity that so carelessly exhibits violence towards its earth and the creatures that inhabit it. I express my emotions and femininity, painting the curves of destruction and redemption that forcefully trumps the ambiguities, corruptions, and politics of scientific analysis.

Vladimir Nazarov

Painting

Brooklyn, NY, USA www.vladimirnazarov.com Vladimir Nazarov is a contemporary visual artist living in New York City. His fascination with the healing nature of art is what motivates him to create. Chiefly concerned with the concept behind a given art work, Nazarov lets the work unfold in whatever medium his subject matter necessitates. A pioneer in the use of color, space, and layering in symbolic abstraction, Nazarov’s chosen medium is but the vehicle of his creative expression in totality. Nazarov was one of the very first artists to settle down in the once industrial-wasteland like area along the East River known as Dumbo. He is a firm believer in the power of art to enrich neighborhoods and create a perfect symbiosis between commercial businesses and artistic expression. The beauty and power of present Dumbo is the way in which it demonstrates the power of artists to shape and uplift the community. As a painter, Vladimir is largely known for his innovative use of color and layering. His subtle meditations on space and movement seemingly express the essence of life itself. Ultimately, Nazarov’s works are an emotionally-charged, open-ended treatise on the human condition. With masterful flourishes and painterly delicacy, again and again, Vladimir proves himself as a master dissecting the eternal mysteries of what it means to be human. Through his various travels abroad, Vladimir has learned about other cultures, and this experiential wisdom certainly shines through in his work. Another strong conceptual thread governing his oeuvre is the meeting point of nature and culture. Like artists have since the beginning of time, his work entails a deep inquiry into the heart of a society that aims to control nature. Nazarov questions if it is the destiny of humanity to destroy nature and if so, if it is a path to our self-destruction. A naturally outdoorsy type, he has been known to retreat into the serene bosoms of nature to draw inspiration for his work. His equal love for the urban grime of New York City is certainly a dynamic tension within his personality, and one that he regularly works out in his creative pursuits. Seldom constrained by any sort of limitations, Nazarov is just that type of artist who defines himself beyond the limits of definition. Philosophically speaking, Nazarov believes that it is when we create that we are truly alive, and that the feeling is contagious. Looking at one of his many well-executed artworks can produce a mini epiphany in the viewer. Art is alive, and the viewer becomes a part of the work itself the very moment they begin to absorb, process and make sense of its many meanings.

But above all, it demands the viewer to focus on the imagery, the texture, the abstraction and the richness of the palette’s spectrum which veils its vibrant soul. Only great works have souls. When the viewer contemplates a work, invariably at some point, if the work is truly great, he/she in their mind’s eye will see its soul. Then and only then can the work be honored in the realm of great art.

Photography

Los Angeles, CA, USA www.anneschlueter.com Anne Schlueter’s photographs are deceptively seductive. The images simultaneously evoke both the micro and macro worlds from vastly different vantage points. Whether that is deep inside the minute structures of a pool of bluish ice, or from an omnipotent spaceship, looking down on an alien landscape. This duality of both meta-world and unearthly evocation is the fascination of many of Schlueter’s photographs. Her sweet palettes vibrate out from their simplicity into mysterious, scientific, cosmic commentary. The photographer’s hot press pigment-prints add depth and tonality to the works and dramatize the fine details of her watery lithospheres and her intergalactic geological surveys. Schlueter, a Los Angeles based artist, has garnered international recognition, receiving the Italian 2015 Sandro Boticelli and the Mazzullo International awards. Chava Shtraykher Painting

Brooklyn NY, USA www.jewishart.us My vocation of an artist had revealed itself in my childhood. Being born in Odessa at the Black Sea coast, with its picturesque breaks and cliffs, spending summers in Carpathian Mountains with my parents, I did not cease to be delighted by beauty and harmony of the world around. This continuous surprise woke up my desire to reflect this unity, first on paper, then on a canvas... The years had passed; I graduated from Theatrical School of Arts and started my career as a textile artist. My extensive and constant spiritual search correspondingly has been reflected in my painting style. From purely depictive, my manner gradually became more and more of reflective. The mentioned search led me as artist to the non-conformist’s activity. After proving to be in the number of refusnik during 10 years, under the close scrutiny of KGB, I repeatedly participated in unofficial exhibitions. In the works of the last years I attempted to comprehend the past and present of Russian Jews against the background of universal Jewish history, the fate of entire Jewish nation. The themes of road, and reflection on the passed and forthcoming way, the comprehension of today’s situation and bright hope for achieving of the long-awaited goal - here is the basic content of my today’s works.

NY, USA www.emilsilberman.com esilberm.es@gmail.com I was always fascinated by the ability of art to capture an emotion, a thought or a feeling in ways more powerful than can be expressed by words. Throughout my life I strived to achieve this ability and to continuously seek new ways of expression and form. I started to sculpt at the age of 3 when I got my first box of plasteline as a birthday gift. Since then my passion for art only grew stronger. I studied art through many venues until my early 20’s but without attaining a formal art education I learned much of what I know on my own. Being self-taught eventually proved to be advantageous to my development as an artist. I was able to learn unconventional ways of using various materials and develop the necessary skills for their application. Over the years my artistic process continued to develop and undergo many transformations. Initially I found plaster to be a fascinating material when I understood how to delay its drying time for several hours. I devised my own technique of applying it to various surfaces producing unique texture and style. In the past decade I became interested in installations and site-specific works. There were several unique opportunities for artists to use old, unattended warehouses in Paterson, New Jersey for the purpose of creating art projects. Old, desolate warehouses provoke one’s imagination to create in new and unusual ways, using large spaces and aging artifacts that were left behind. This experience was essential to learn how to command large and unusual spaces while using many new materials. I suddenly began using mixed media, found objects and light in my works, while constantly modifying my creative process. Despite all the technical and stylistic changes over time I always remain true to my original goal of capturing an emotion or a thought in my work. I strive to make a viewer interact with my pieces on a level of raw emotions in a setting of unique visual experience often starting a silent dialogue between us.

Photography, Mixed Media New York, NY, USA www.markostout.com “Marko Stout’s work represents the powerful culmination of Post-Modern sentiments that were sown in the mid-20th century... All the elements work together to create a buzzing and certain amount of chaos. Individually, the pieces are discordant and thought provoking; as a collection, they are dazzling!” - Los Angeles Journal “Marko Stout is not afraid of examining the human soul in the closest and most truthful manner possible. In his recent “Chelsea Girls” project, Stout simultaneously portrays the vibrant energy and innermost thoughts of women based on ones who reside in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. He conveys their true identities and opinions through layered colors, varied textures, short captions, and strong expressions.”-CNN “Today’s art collectors are no longer looking for art that’s just pretty — they want rigor and art that tells a story. As emerging artist Marko Stout enters high-end luxury art markets, many collectors are turning their attention to the vibrancy of his work”- Joy Donnel, Luxury Lifestyle “Marko Stout’s profound spin on such a relatable aspect of the human experience leaves viewers aware, unshackled and connected to the grit of New York City, in the best way possible!” Huffington Post (Arts & Culture) Marko Stout is a passionately prolific mixed media artist and urban storyteller. Manhattan-based but in no way bounded, his artistic “limitations” are both ceaseless and seamless. Celebrated for his innate ability to entwine styles of the gritty urban world- particularly NYC with the erotic aura of feminine ferocity, Marko’s inventive work has taken Manhattan by storm; a storm that has no intention of turning into a steady drizzle anytime soon. His current series is a revamping of the “femme fatale” motif, serving as an emphatic exposé of the modern woman’s powerful role within today’s lightning-speed-paced society. In his latest series, sensuality meets the industrial realm which brings about a contrast as stunning as his fiery color pallet of choice. Each and every depiction is pure seduction in art form with an undeniable haunting element that will keep you coming back for more. You will be plunged- willingly or unwillingly, into a multi-chromatic multiverse where sex appeal and urban-esque edginess coexist as one.

Born in Moscow in 1966 to esteemed genre painter and academic Vladimir Telin, Alexander was immersed in art and thought from an early age. Due to his academic rigor Telin has been able to amalgamate influences from throughout art history, from Renaissance to Post-Impressionism and from Ancient Egyptian murals to the Moscow school, with his intrinsic creativity and new elements to create a unique and stimulating style of representing the world around us. Telin’s remarkable talent led him to acclaim almost immediately post-graduation, and even before. In 1987 Telin participated in the main exhibitions of the Moscow Union of Artists and the Moscow Society of Painters, the former of which he became a memberfrom 1992. Telin’s work has been shown in over three hundred exhibitions in the most distinguishedartistic institutions around the world, including the Chianciano Biennale 2015 where his work was admired by the Strozzi princes. Telin’s undeniable genius has not gone unrecognized, having been repeatedly awarded diplomas by the Russian Academy of Arts, the Russian Union of Artists, the Moscow Union of Artists, and the Moscow Association of Painters, as well as being awarded two prizes in the London Art Biennale 2015.

I love abstract and surrealistic art. My favorite artists of all time are Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso. I love work of Wassily Kandinsky, Joan Miro, Marc Chagall and Jackson Pollock. With the years I elaborated my own technique. Most of my paintings are in acrylic. I love to work on large scale canvas using bright colors and paying a lot of attention to detail. Almost all my paintings have a story which makes them look like a poem or a novel.

USA www.artvlad.com vladmar48@hotmail.com Growing up in St. Petersburg, Russia, I was educated by a family of artists. Painting my first painting as a young child I knew that art would become a passion for me. Following in my families footsteps, I attended The Academy of Fine Art in St. Petersburg, graduating in 1971 with a bachelor’s degree. Shortly after, I was nominated and accepted as a member of the Guild of Artists in Russia. Over the years, I have mastered new functions of rhythm and color and have carefully created my artistic “self”. My paintings are inspired by the forms and laws of magnificent Mother Nature and display a world of charm and beauty. I created my world of infinite techniques, textures, materials, perfection of composition, richness and harmony of the palette. I work with a diverse set of mediums ranging from oils and acrylics to pastel and enamel. My artistic passion expands to create elegant jewelry composed of stones and coral from around the world.

Hong Kong www.bzartstudioaffordableartfair.com Commercial and Industrial Photographer Miguel Prieto Vallinas Studied at Valladolid Institute Gregorio Fernández, Diego Marín Aguilera in Burgos Institute, and the School of Training and Technical Image EFTI Madrid, Spain. He is in His Professional Work Dedicated to Television, Industrial and Advertising Photography. It is in this sphere where he labors with large format cameras and lighting on big scenes and stages, gaining him versatile experience for his personal work. Photography is his medium of choice and his photographs always have a message, with strong individual styling and sensitivity to space. Miguel uses personal issues that arouse interest beyond mere contemplation, and intends to seek the reflection of this in his image making. He never takes his camera with him -. preferring to observe what’s around him in detail and recreate the photograph himself, reflecting on his observations His work is a search for beauty understood through his eyes He is passionate and loves painting and this sensitivity shows in his photography.. His subject matter includes nature, cityscape, contemporary architecture, and portraiture. Miguel uses locations that are often in close vicinity and people he knows for his portraiture. Spending a lot of time on postproduction of each image, this adds another rich layer of character and personality to his work, setting it apart from catering to the purely commercial aspect of photography. Miguel’s collection “Second Skins” is making his name well known worldwide. “Second Skins” is presented as a continuation of an earlier collection entitled “Skins”. These two series of works with various links in common, are both composed of several portraits of people within which he aims to investigate the internal aspects of mankind With “Skins”, his attention was on the same person playing different trades or professions -. exploring his idea of people and their identity at a certain time of their life, with the intent to reflect on the choice of the individual. With “Second Skins” Miguel focuses on different aspects to try to understand the inner reality of a man. It is a different investigation of animal and human behaviour, exploring the intersection where human and animal characteristics and personality meet. With each image, this series seek to isolate the character, ignoring any context and references to bring out the individual personality in the combination of head and body. “Second Skins” is more than a response to the first series, it powerfully plays with words suggesting individual options, possibilities, and ultimately individual choice.
