Monthly Update

Alexis Faison Happy January Division 1! I hope you all are surviving midterms and preparing for District Convention! With DCON right around the corner, it is important not to prorogue with your planning. I will be doing a follow up call soon with each Club President with planning for DCON, and inquiring about the progress you have made so far. Also, with DCON coming up soon, that means the service year is coming to an end as well. Seniors, I know it is tempting to lay back and relax, and you may feel exhaustipated, but I know you can push through these last few months! Finish out your service year strong so you can look back and reflect on all the success you had. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me! I am always here to help. - Alexis Faison

Fundraising Ideas (for Winter) Soup Kitchen Serving During this time of the year, a lot of people may turn to soup kitchens for their next meal. Gather your club and offer to volunteer at a local soup kitchen. Not only do you receive hours for this, but you also help someone find their next meal.

Snow Clean Up

In our state, there is a lot of times where we have snowstorms, and cars and sidewalks are covered in snow. Gather your clubs to do a neighborhood clean-up by shoveling sidewalks and scraping snow + ice off cars.

Winter Trivia Night Charge a team fee of $15. Create a google form to have people create teams. Host a trivia night in a school cafeteria or a popular community location. Ask questions about winter movies, songs or anything winter-themed.

Club Spotlight

Ocean City Key Club!

Ocean City has been great with attendance, communication and was amazing in our divisional volleyball tournament! They have been doing many service projects and I cannot wait to see what comes for the club in the near future!

Lieutenant Governor Elections

The Division 1 Lieutenant Governor Elections took place onJanuary 5th, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at the Kiwanis Club of Cape May. After much delegation between two very qualified candidates, our winner was Raymond Gan from Mainland Regional High School! Congratulations Raymond, we can't wait to see all the success you bring to our Division.

District Project: Hunger in NJ The District Project for the 2018-2019 service year is once again, Hunger in New Jersey. We are continuing to conquer food insecurity because to the NJDB, our job is not done yet. Our goals for this service year are:
