I am Alexis Adjorlolo, a Design professional dedicated to crafting thoughtful, sustainable designs that enrich communities and withstand the test of time. My approach to architecture is rooted in a commitment to excellence, where beauty meets functionality, and innovation harmonizes with tradition.
With a Master’s in Architecture (2023) and a diverse portfolio of cultural and urban projects, I am honing my expertise in sustainable design practices and interdisciplinary collaboration. FRENCH STYLE LOUIS
This project was chosen on a whim. I was on the way to a family members house when i saw a couple dropping them off at a local Goodwill. As the saying goes, closed mouths dont get fed. This project is still in progress as you read this. Im excited to see the final product.
The hand made Batiks shown on both the sides are components that I am planning to install into the final design of this project.

Sankofa meaning “To go back and get it” a backward facing swan is the official symbol signifying looking into the past and bringing the teachings to present day.
The Adinkra Furniture Project is inspired by sacred West African symbols that represent aspects of cultural and social orders. The project is commissioned by the Texas A&M College of Architecture and collaborated with Prairie View School of Architecture. The furniture designs are from chosen Adinkra symbols which I believed represent the whole of the African American experience. The furniture will be located at the outdoor patio of the Brazos County African American Museum in Bryan, Tx.
Throughout the process of fabrication, design changes occurred as a result to different materials being selected for different sets of furniture.
