Crew: Max13, FAV, Mednoy, Ilya. Dont search any sense in abbreviations and numbers, as there's none. In fact, there were two crews, SAP and 13, and they united in 2005. They didnt invent a new name, just combined old ones. Most of crew members began their development as artists in the end of 90th, when teenagers turned on graffiti boom. The first cans MA-15, first unions, first actions.. Walls were rarely painted, their ideas had been expressed on the paper, in sketches. Not that there were no any apt walls, but they didn't have any money for buying cans, and there were no cans as well. Writers bought enamel in large cans and did most of the work with it. And only after they countoured the painting with aerosol cans. Writing with just aerosol cans had been a kind of luxury. With time some new people arrived, some gave up, others went on. And paint appeared. But, indeed, graffiti in Ivanovo wasn't that popular(and still it isn't). On the other side, during all these years graffitti has been developed to a new, advanced level. Max13. Paints with spray since 2004. One of the 13 crew's founders. Photorealism, collages, tiny tomb crosses. Ilya. At present lives in a forest. Bonhomous bearded dude and simply good fellow. Despite of some dark nuances of his works, he's indeed quite optimistic. A genuine painter. Mednoy. Creates in all style and forms: photorealism, 3D, sculpture, architecture... Un homme grand. FAV. On the walls since 1998. Painted different things: teeth, amoebs, old lesbians, etc. Now he's in his quiet mood and just follows the direction of accurate lines. A connoisseur of terseness. By FAV
