1. Does curly hair need specific cuts/color services and treatments? A. Different curl patterns will have different rules; understanding and determining which curl type your client has, is the first step in order to perform proper color services, treatments and cuts. 2. Is the SDL line suitable for all types of curly hair? A. Yes. The best results are obtained on wavy to curly hair. For very curly to very coiled hair we suggest the following treatment. Before proceeding with the cleansing step, distribute SDL MULTI-BENEFIT OIL on the lengths and ends, leaving it on the hair for 30 minutes. Cleanse with SDL HYDRATING CO-WASH, apply SDL ENHANCING MASK and continue with SDL DEFINING CREAM. For the gloss phase, apply SDL MULTI-BENEFIT OIL. 3. How can I combine the products in the Curls range with the other Semi di Lino ranges? A. During the personalized consultation, you will evaluate the condition of the scalp, the condition of the fiber and the type of curl pattern. In the cleansing and treatment phases, the most suitable Semi di Lino products will be applied. For the leave-in phase, we recommend the application of SDL CURLS DEFINING CREAM or SDL CURLS ENHANCING CONDITIONER depending on the thickness of the hair. As the final touch, apply SDL MULTI-BENEFIT OIL. 4. Where the hair is wavy and curly and the person suffers from a scalprelated problem (for example dandruff), how do I choose the best treatment? A. For the cleansing phase, use the most suitable SDL Scalp product. For the treatment, use SDL CURLS ENHANCING CONDITIONER or ENHANCING MASK, then the leave-in products in the Scalp line, either the tonic or vial, depending on the need. Finally, we recommend following with the CURLS leave-in products that are most suitable for the type of curly hair, to be applied on lengths and ends, and then follow with styling. 5. What is a Co–wash? A. The name is the abbreviation of “Conditioner Wash”, i.e. a “cleansing conditioner”. It is a type of product that performs a cleansing action

together with a nourishing and conditioning action. The co-wash in the CURLS line, SDL CURLS HYDRATING CO-WASH, is characterized by its effective cleansing ability without the formation of foam, and promotes a nourishing and detangling action, to cleanse and respect the balance of the curls during the washing phase. 6. How is the SDL CURLS MULTI-BENEFIT OIL different from SDL CRISTALLI LIQUIDI and SDL CRISTALLI DI SETA? A. SDL MULTI-BENEFIT OIL is a multi-action oil with an anti-frizz effect essential for restoring the hydration and elasticity necessary for beautiful curly hair. The active ingredient, Manketti Oil, is known for its nourishing, moisturizing and elasticizing properties. 7. When should I use SDL CURLS DEFINING CREAM and when is it better to go for SDL CURLS ENHANCING CONDITIONER no rinse? A. SDL CURLS DEFINING CREAM is ideal for medium to fine hair, while SDL CURLS ENHANCING CONDITIONER (no rinse) is formulated for medium to thick hair. Both can be used to define and control the hair. 8. Which type of drying is most suitable for curly hair? A. Before blow drying, pat your hair dry with a microfiber towel from the bottom upwards, squeezing the hair between your fingers. The special microfiber fabric reduces the mechanical rubbing of the hair and leaves a greater amount of water on it, thus promoting the ideal starting condition for a well-defined drying, without frizz and knots. Remember to keep the drying tools at an average temperature when using them. 9. Can I use the CURLS products on hair that has been permed? A. Yes. Curls prolongs the cosmetic effects obtained with the salon treatment.
