This year followed last year's prize distribution with six identical prizes offered for the six biggest fish, any species, being caught on each of the three derby lakes: Wawa, Hawk and Manitowik Lakes. Congratulations everyone.   Our annual ice fishing derby is a very big deal for everyone in Wawa, besides the fishermen's thrill of landing the "big one" with huge prizes to be won, dollars generated are funnelled back into our community supporting many worthwhile causes and projects in town that benefit our children up to the aged. Thank you so much to the presenting sponsor Canadian Tire, Scott Popert and Anne Owen and their support team, prize sponsors, the dozens of corporate and individual supporters, all the anglers who donated their fish to the Food Bank, and again a huge nod to our volunteers, many that never get acknowledged, thank you so much.
