The Tiger Tribune Last Key Club Meeting

In this issue! Last Meeting ................ 1 Kiwanis Breakfast ........ 2

The school year is coming to an end, and sadly this means the last Key Club meeting of the school year as well. Due to AP exams and finals, the last meeting occurred during the early weeks of May. Nevertheless, the meeting was very successful and full of ice breakers for the members to enjoy. We informed our members that Key Club events and volunteer opportunities will still be available over Summer, meaning they have the chance to stay active over the break. We also encouraged our members to join Key Club again next year for another year of fun and service. To conclude all the officers would like to thank our members for participating in all the events, and making this year as fun and memorable as it could possibly be. And to all the seniors, good luck in whatever you decide to pursue and thank you for giving us the guidance and support we needed during your time spent at Burroughs.

Kiwanis Breakfast On May 1 the executive board of John Burroughs High School had the amazing privilege of joining Mr. Ridnor at the De Bell Golf Course. For most of the officers, it was their first time attending a Kiwanis Breakfast and it was definitely a very enjoyable and memorable experience. From the delicious food served at the golf course, to the good conversations being held, it was all just good laughs and a good time. We are also extremely thankful for the Kiwanis donation to our school that helped pay for our trip to DCON this year. We are also extremely thankful for the generosity of all of our Kiwanis advisors, without their support Key Club would just not be the same. I, along with all the officers look forward to many more breakfasts to attend.

May DCM Unfortunately not all the officers were able to attend the DCM this month, but three managed to attend. Kevin Zhang, Christine Pham, and David Salas all had a wonderful time on Saturday, May 18, while attending the DCM. These officers along with all the key clubbers that attended enjoyed a fun in the sun activity at the DCM Kevin Zhang: "At the DCM, we helped set up the water and paint games. After, we took role and talked about the latest events that each school had. We then proceeded to spray water at each other and put paint of each other. We also donated money to eat. Lastly, we gathered in a circle and bonded. It was a great way to kick off Summer break!"
