Stevenson Rocks ......... 1

On the 26th of this month, John Burroughs' Key Club participated in volunteering at Stevenson Elementary School's annual rock festival. Different key club members enjoyed volunteering at the various food stands and carnival like booths. David Salas enjoyed helping out at the bean bag toss booth which featured a water dunk zone if the participant is able to shoot the bean bag into the hole. Meanwhile An Hoang enjoyed providing service to customers at the bake sale stand, a very sweet experience! Also, Xerxes Peter Garbes enjoyed helping the kids in races that featured them riding on inflatable animals along the colored strips laid out on the floor. A very amusing and task to be a part of. This event lasted from the afternoon until the evening, filled with lots of service and memorable moments for all the key club members and the students of Stevenson Elementary School. This event has been a tradition for our members to be a part of and hopefully will continue throughout the years. It was overall a very enjoyable event.

memorable event. Going through the numerous piles of donated goods was very amusing to all that participated. Also the company of the JBHS IMA made the event even more fun! A key club event is always the perfect combination of service and fun. As the day went out, the worked seemed harder and the hours seemed longer. But all the key club members and IMA were able to pull through and enjoy the entire event. Enjoying the various snacks that the mom's of the IMA shared with us, to finding cool toys that we all enjoyed playing when we were younger in the piles. There honestly was never a dull moment in this event, like all of our events. To conclude, the fundraiser was a huge success in that we were able to fill two huge long Goodwill trucks packed with many donations. The outcomes was amazing. A big thank you to all that donated and all that participated in this event. All the hard work is always appreciated and shared!

Key Clubbers enjoyed helping the IMA of John Burroughs High School in their annual Goodwill Fundraiser. The IMA and Key Club joined together in collecting various items from clothing, toys, electronics, to household items to donate to the Goodwill. We are very thankful that the IMA gave us the opportunity to lend a helping hand to this noteworthy fundraiser. This event was held on Sunday, the 14th of this month. It required some serious heavy lifting and a huge amount of energy. But as always the more work put into our service events, the greater the feeling of good we feel in the end. This event had our key club members, especially the guys, carry all the different items donated from a huge pile that filled almost the entire parking lot of our school, into bins that was then loaded onto the Goodwill truck. Thank goodness for our strong male key club members to pull through on the heavy lifting. Fortunately, even though this event featured a lot of work, as usual, all the key club members found a way to make this a
