Philosophy on Life? is a collection of storytelling photographs that covers 4 months of investigation, exploring the question and documenting a little insight into peoples lives. The photographs were taken in Norwich, during this time period I have stopped, spoken and questioned 30 people, sharing their stories in this book. The direct quote alongside the images give an insight into their lives, to self-reflect, to tell short stories and show empathy to them, knowing that we are all living the same life, but in different ways. Building relationships, sharing stories and philosophies.

‘I’ve been here two years now, I enjoy it. I talk to people. But before I started this I lost my wife eight years ago... blew me apart.’ Did you hit depression hard? ‘Tried killing myself sort of thing, but then plus I was on the drink, drink; drink, drink every day setting up my own graveyard. So I eventually sobered up, woke up one day in a graveyard, about half of a bottle of Bacardi left, looked to my wife’s picture, and that’s it. I haven’t drank since, and that was over 4 years ago.’ ‘Live day to day, just live it day to day. I’ve been there, seen it, done it… now its just, day to day… at the moment, anything can change.’ - Jim
