Rationale I would really like to make illustrations that are either educational, informative or for children. I want to do this because my passion is for teaching and I really like to do work that can go along with that but also be functional and fun ways of doing it.

Quilling Digital 3D Print Line Drawing Hand Generated

Brief 1: Paper Brief

Deadline

Rationale: I am going to a new paper cut technique every week to gain new skills and techniques. I am going to do this because I am interested in it and enjoying doing crafty things and doing things by hand. This brief was stopped after two weeks as it was very time consuming at the same time as I had COP, the final outcome took over 10 hours to do. Brief 2: Colours May Vary

Deadline

Rationale: I am going to produce a print for the colours may vary exhibition. I want to do this because I would like the experience of being in a real exhibition and to know the pressures of it etc. when i backed out of it last year. Brief 3: Penguin Book Cover

Deadline

Rationale: I am going to enter into the children’s book competition for penguin random house, I am doing this as I would like to gain some more Digital Skills and improve my children’s illustration for the bigger briefs I want to do. Brief 4: Papyrus

Deadline

Rationale: I am going to do an A3 line illustration for Papyrus to help prevent suicide in young adults. I want to do this because I have been personally affected by what the charity stands for and this is also a opportunity for me to introduce and element of informing into this brief

Brief 5: Extended Colouring Book Brief Rationale:

Deadline

I am extending the Papyrus brief into a larger personal brief as I had the idea of this when I read the brief from Papyrus but they only wanted one A3, it would also be a challenge for me doing an illustration that big and depending on it to be good.

Additional Project Proposals FMP - Viking Board Game For my final major project I am going to make an educational board game that can be used in primary schools to teach KS2 history on the Viking Invasion. I want to do this because I am very passionate about teaching and i believe that a creative, fun, functional, educational tool would increase motivation in children to want to learn and also help teachers to find a new and different way of teaching, especially when Primary school teachers have to teach all subjects but might only specialise in one so the extra educational tool could be welcomed by many, meaning there is a market for it. I’d like to focus on the illustration side of this project, not just because of the target audience being children, but I want to build upon the critique I got from COP and develop my illustrations more. I would also like to improve my digital skills on this project as it will be done completely digitally, which will be a challenge for me.
