OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
TRANSFORMING LIVES
Between January 2014 and January 2017, we hosted over 900 missioners from 15 different states and worked on more than 90 homes in the community, hosted three community wide vacation Bible schools and renovated our facilities. We still have over 200 homeowner applications on file and are excited to continue to do God’s work. Most of the work we do consists of repairs to sheetrock, flooring, ceilings, cabinets, plumbing, fascia, soffits and roofs.
WHAT’S NEW? We are in the process of partnering with the Delta State University Wesley in Cleveland, MS, to help provide a new and exciting program for youth teams coming to serve in the summer of 2017. Mission teams have generously donated school supplies, non-perishable foods, as well as supplies for cleaning buckets for those affected by our recent flooding.
OUR MISSION
WORKING TOGETHER
We are a year-round mission that provides housing, projects, materials, supervision and worship for teams wanting to reach out to families in need. Teams work on homes to provide safe, sanitary, and secure housing for the elderly, disabled and others who do not have the means to have adequate living conditions.
Our purpose is to match the skills of missioners with the needs of homeowners to insure a positive and productive experience. We work with local agencies to identify the mission opportunities and assess the needs via an application and a personal interview. We encourage missioners of all ages and believe that 90% of what we do is building relationships and 10% is repair homes.
VOLUNTEERS Mission teams work on homes of many who have lost hope and do not know what tomorrow brings. As participants in Delta Grace, volunteers become that hope as they spend time with those in need and walk with them on their journey to experience God’s grace. Team members do not have to have carpentry skills but it is beneficial if they do.
