Rimma Gagloeva is undeniably one of the most recognized old masters of ex-USSR. Rimma was born in 1940 in Tskhinvali (North Ossetiya). In 1962 she graduated from the Tskhinvali Art School, and in 1967 she graduated from the Tashkent State Theatre and Art Institute named after A. N. Ostrovsky. In 1971, Rimma became a member of the Artists Union of USSR. She is also a member of the creative Association of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan since 1997. Rimma Gagloeva lives and works in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She was named “Honored Artist” of Uzbekistan.
