Waffle Structure
Waffle Rhyno Render And Photographs For The Waffle structure project we had to create an organic surface and make contours of it in a sense like a waffle. After we made our waffle structures we needed to create a landscape pavilion from our original surface.

the idea of the project was to explore the deconstruction of “found objects� which can be organized into a collage. the assignment was to find 3 objects which could be broken up into 7 pieces and choosing one which would later be used to design a structure. The objects that I chose to work with was a Blackberry cellphone, a Picture Frame and a necklace. I ended up choosing the Blackberry because it gave me a more versatile design. After making my collage I came of with the idea of an observatory. I liked the idea of the observatory because of the mother board of the phone. I imagined a structure with solar panels and a telescope.

The Second assignment for the semester was the cube house. The assignment was to make 3 cubes out of 12 1” cubes and 3” rods. After creating the 3 Cubes we had to choose our best design and continue further developing our designs

My final model reflected my original cube. The Site I chose for the design was a cliff-side on a mountainous area. And it has an interior garden. It is meant to be in a stranded very private area

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK VISITOR CENTER
The third project of the semester was the Grand Teton National Park Visitor center. The park is located in Wyoming near spalding bay, with breathtaking mountainous views and a lake. The objective of the assignment was to design a place where hikers can make a pit stop or stay for the night where they could enjoy the beautiful scenery at its maximum. Precedent Study
Before actually starting to design we needed to have an understanding about national park visitor centers. We made a precedent study on three different centers and this one was the one that caught my attention the most. The reason I liked this one so much was because the main focus of the project was to make a structure with extraordinary views in nature. Similar to my Precedent study i decided to have a Hexagonal shape. The reason i chose this shape in particular is because i wanted to give visitors a 360 view feel.

Preliminary Design
When making my study model i chose to make the first floor a completely public area. the second floor private for only guests who stay overnight and the bedrooms would be offset to both sides of the structure giving guests a choice of having the mountain view or the lake view.
The Fourth floor of the Structure would be another completely public area that will include an auditorium public restroom and cafeteria. and the last floor would be an open observation area.

Final Model
GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK VISITOR CENTER For my final design I decided that having a curtain wall exterior would be beneficial to my concept. What I wanted to accomplish is a structure with 360 views of the breathtaking sights in the area. Starting from the first floor, there is a lobby, caretaker’s room, utility and storage as well as an indoor observation room. Guests that decide to stay can take the elevator up one flight or the staircase. on the second and separated third floor is all the private area where only overnight guests are allowed to stay. This floor has communal showers, kitchen and dining, the separated third floor has the bedrooms where guests have a choice either the mountain views or the lake views 5 bedrooms for each side 10 in total.
The Fourth floor is an all public area which includes a cafe with indoor or outdoor dining. There is an auditorium and public restrooms. The last floor is the observation area, where guests get to enjoy all the breathtaking views Grand teton National Park has to offer outdoors.

Portfolio Analysis What I wanted to demonstrate with my portfolio was all of my work from this semester for visual studies Aswell as design III work. I wanted to demonstrate all that I had learned from both classes as best that I could.As shown throughout my projects I am a big fan of using wood for models because it makes my models look museum quality. Overall this semester was a good learning experience for me perhaps the semester I have improved the most as an Architecture student.
