CUSTOMER SERVICE
Understanding who the Claire's target customer is, product knowledge, ways to extend engagement and how to sell. Using "GUEST" as a tool in enhancing customers experience and working to empower them to express their own unique individual styles. "One customer is busy."

INTERIOR & WINDOW DISPLAY
Knowledge of interior + window display techniques, storefront cadences, and problems that may arise when visually merchandising a retail space. Executing the planogram in-line with In-Store Presentation guidelines and replenishing concession area.

SALE EVENT PREPARATION
Assist with the preparation and execution for store sales. Ensure that "Markdowns" are in line with operational requirements. Sorting merchandise received from shipment categorized by SKUS/department numbers. Unpackaging new merchandise to be displayed on the sales floor.

INVENTORY
Understand the process of tracking inventory + maintaining record system. Organizing and separating merchandise to be counted. Using technology to conduct a detail check on each inventory provider to ensure accuracy. Working to improve the total company profitability by developing and maintaining effective programs.

LOSS PREVENTION
Aware of internal + external theft, profits through prevention, weekly + daily shrink results and most popular departments. Facility protection, reduce exposure and increase associate awareness. Conducting associate bag checks and reporting procedures working towards creating a culture of honesty and impression of control.

GENERAL ACCOUNTING PROCEDURES
General accounting processes in store, sales reconciliation + preparing sales figures. Using the Weekly Planning Performance Sheet to track between LY and WTD, calculate daily conversion and target percent of business. Calculating hourly read to compare TY vs LY sales figures, while also keeping running total of Ear Piercings through the Scorecard and % tracker towards company.

LEADERSHIP
Prioritize tasks independently and assess and assist in emergency situations. Through roleplaying, learn how to coach and provide associates with feedback. Developing ways of becoming a role model to our team and understanding different types of feedback to use.

TRAINING
Display a welcoming and helpful attitude towards associates and acting as a sponsor for new hires. Demonstrating sales strategies, providing feedback and advice while working towards motivating associates. Relayed techniques of communication that makes associates feel good about working for the company. Developed ways of how to lead, trust and hold others accountable.

Completing sales floor and backroom functions, analyzing daily communications binder and completing weekly operations checklist. Overview of general mall specifics. Cleaning and restocking ear-piercing unit station. Assisting in recovery and MOD checks per policy.

Expert in product category, tracking sales goals + identifying hot and poor sellers. Using the CNN's (Claire's Connection Network) to determine companies top 50 sellers and implementing into DTI. Using the Key Item Summary report as a resource when determining results for highest & lowest ranking departments for individual stores.
