FINDINGS AND RESULTS Slow fashion is the intersection of ethical, eco, & lasting fashion One of the requirements for a successful brand is the incorporation of the quality of the fabrics used as it encourages the consumer to examine not only the design, but origin of a fabric Retailers “need to educate the consumer about the processes in the creation of their apparel By adopting a Slow Fashion model, the designers can face increasing competition posed by Fast Fashion enterprises.
FINDINGS AND RESULTS Creators are motivated not only by a pursuit of creativity and, in this instance, by sustainability, but equally important, by economic reasons Retailers and producers “need to educate the consumer about the processes used in the creation of their apparel The best practice of sustainable Slow Fashion is predicted to occur in future years
PERSONAL OPINION I found this article to be extremely interesting and relevant to my career in fashion. In our current age, we have to worry about our effects on the environment and how to come up with sustainable ways to ensure safety for future generations. This is important will only require as fashion leaders to continue to research and create innovative ideas to keep up. It also targets a more health and Earth conscious demographic who focuses on sustainability. I believe the Fashion Matrix Framework is a clear and easy way to understand the underlying elements and characteristics when deciding to create a Slow Fashion environment. Reading the description definitely allows fcr a better understanding. When it comes to my shopping practices, I will continue to purchase items made with the highest quality and durability. Price usually is not a main factor, but instead how the self gratitude an outfit makes me feel as I have seen these concepts in my real life. I agree that it is important for retailers to understand this concept and try to find ways to work within sustainability. The research was well summarized and has allowed me to think more in depth about sustainability.
