Now in its 66th year, this show has a long, proud history that has allowed people like you to give back to our community. Your attendance here today and purchasing raffle tickets, along with our event sponsors, exhibitors, and nonprofits, are helping raise funds to enable both Rotary clubs to do their work. It helps us fund service projects locally/internationally and provide grants to local nonprofits, community groups, and schools. Our academic scholarships, art scholarships, and Vocational Toolships support Cape youth so they can follow their dreams.
Last year, we responded to your feedback and held a successful one-day, free admission event! This year, we have even more exhibitors, another great lineup of speakers, and a new partnership with the Osterville/Mashpee Rotary Club. We hope you enjoy our continuous attention to your feedback and how you help us with our largest fundraiser of the year.
A few of the projects the Hyannis Club has been working on this year include managing a Meals on Wheels route, maintaining the Korean War Memorial in the Route 6 Rest Area, providing literacy and the arts support through our Rotary rewards Readers Program, donating to the annual CHAMP Home holiday gift program, providing the care packages. for the homeless
The Osterville/Mashpee Club has also been at work with several hands-on on projects this year including the adopt a road cleanup on Rt 28 from Centerville to Osterville, the packaging of Thanksgiving meals for families in need, the build out/clean up of a cottage at the YMCA Camp Lyndon, co-hosting the annual Halloween Parade for the Barnstable kids. In July, we put on our annual Fishing Tournament to raise money for all the agencies, programs, and scholarships we support throughout the year.
One of our joint projects this year has been running the Recycle Shed at the Town of Barnstable Transfer Station.
Why Rotary for Rene? It’s simple: through caring and sharing, each one reaches one, and each teaches/helps one!
Why Rotary for John? It is the desire to inspire and be inspired by/with the innate goodness of the individual Rotarians the sum of which is so much greater than the individual whole.
With gratitude.

The Rotary Club of Hyannis was the first Rotary Club on Cape Cod, founded in 1925, and has been a network for professionals and leaders for 100 years. Today, our members serve the Hyannis community in many ways, including fundraising for scholarships, grants, literacy programs, and other hands-on service projects.
The Home, Garden and Lifestyle Show, our largest fundraiser, has enabled us to fund college scholarships for high school and community college students, partially fund a canine support facility at the Barnstable Police station, buy books for school children, support the local soup kitchen, cover renovation costs for such programs as Champ Homes and Independence House, donate blanket kits for local homeless people through the Federated Church, and contribute with other Rotary Clubs across the Cape to help fund Habitat for Humanity and the Bloodmobile for Cape Cod Healthcare. We also support our club’s district, 7950, in its efforts to educate and tackle such issues as the opioid crisis that has affected communities across our country, including our own. Finally, we work on international projects such as clean water for Haiti and donating to bicycle safety awareness campaigns in Costa Rica.
This year’s event continues our long tradition of bringing our community together as we provide another opportunity for local residents to meet and greet local home repair, landscape and garden contracting firms to see the latest innovations and trends.
Hyannis Rotary, a nonprofit membership club, has no paid staff. Members and other volunteers donate their time, energy and talent to make the Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show a huge success. All net proceeds from the show go to our Good Works fund, and, from there, back to our community.
On average, we raise over $60,000 to benefit the local community and to provide scholarships for graduates of Barnstable High School, Sturgis Charter Schools, Cape Cod Regional Technical High School and Cape Cod Community College. Please help us do that! Visit our exhibitors, buy some raffle tickets, and enjoy our 66th annual fundraiser, the Hyannis Rotary Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show.
Thank you,
Rene M King
