Located on five miles of private water along the gentle Tarryall River, The Broadmoor’s Orvis-endorsed Fly Fishing Camp is an angler’s paradise in a gorgeous pine- and aspen-clad mountain setting. Experienced fly fishers and novices alike will find plenty of opportunities among the forested canyons, grassy meadows, and winding bends of the river, while those new to the sport will enjoy learning in the company of the camp’s experienced guides. The Broadmoor Soaring Adventure , one of the top-five zip line courses in the world, offers a thrilling experience as guests safely soar high above rocky outcroppings and forested canyons on zip lines ranging in distance from 250 to 1,800 feet, with some moderate hiking. Tours include up to eight participants with two professional guides. Located at The Broadmoor’s Seven Falls, there are two courses to choose from, both with five thrilling zip lines: The Woods Course with heights of 150 feet and an opportunity to soar over a picturesque waterfall, and The Fins Course with heights of over 500 feet, along with two 200-foot suspension bridge crossings, and a thrilling 180-foot controlled rappel at the end.

With its new Golf Performance Center, The Broadmoor’s sister property, Sea Island, blends state-of-the-art enhancements with refined coastal living.

The recently opened 17,000-square-foot Golf Performance Center at Sea Island is now being dubbed by some as the finest golf instruction center in the world. With six instruction and clubfitting bays, cutting-edge putting studio, full-service golf club workshop, indoor and outdoor meeting and event spaces, and world-renowned instructors, it’s easy to see why. Before a lesson at the new center or a round of golf, during turtle season (May–September) guests can search for new turtle nests or hatchlings on one of Sea Island’s daily patrols. Year after year, female turtles migrate thousands of miles to return to the same area where they were hatched themselves, to lay their eggs. Eight or nine weeks later, the tiny turtles emerge, not knowing they are creating lifelong memories for those who have the chance to see them scurrying to the ocean’s edge to start their own journey. Many more memories were made this past summer, when the number of nests on the Sea Island beach was 63 percent higher than the summer before.
