The Broadmoor World Arena, Ice Hall, and Pikes Peak Center offer an array of entertainment and activities

Originally constructed in 1930 as an enclosed horse-riding academy on The Broadmoor’s campus, the venue was converted by resort founder Spencer Penrose into The Broadmoor Ice Palace after he was inspired by figure skater Sonja Henie’s performance. One hundred tons of water were frozen to create the rink’s surface, and steam pipes were installed at its edges to warm spectators.

The Broadmoor World Arena, which has since relocated a few miles east of the resort’s main campus, today hosts a full calendar of events on an annual basis. The adjacent World Ice Hall is home to Olympic training, curling, speed skating, and youth hockey.

Additionally, Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Colorado Springs offers an all-star lineup of Broadway shows, Colorado Springs Philharmonic concerts, and other top touring acts.

.ESSENTIALS.

The Broadmoor World Arena

Book your next private event or special activity in the luxurious Broadmoor Suite, located on the third level of the venue’s west side. The suite is fully equipped for private dining and bar service and includes exclusive access to private restrooms. Enjoy reserved seating in booths or at high-top tables, offering a wide-angle overhead view of The Broadmoor World Arena floor. This is the perfect vantage point to fully immerse yourself in events such as Disney on Ice, Monster Jam, a concert, or a comedy show.

For an even more exclusive experience, consider the adjacent Peter Susemihl Room and the prestigious Penrose Club, both located on the Arena Level. These rooms are inspired by The Broadmoor’s elegant decor, with comfortable leather chairs and polished wood furnishings. Reserve these rooms for private functions or for pre-show dining before virtually all arena events.
