Some of the ways The Pyramid Society works to achieve its mission is through education, encouraging and acknowledging breeders and providing them opportunities to meet and share their ideas and experiences. The most fun, exciting and engaging opportunity for breeders, owners and supporters is the Egyptian Event, which brings all of these elements together in one place and at one time. It is truly one of the most special gatherings of the Arabian horse community in the world.

Igniting Passion for Beauty

or over 40 years, Rohara Arabians has bred and marketed national, international and world champions, many of which have gone on to become the foundation for breeding programs around the globe. In the summer of 2012, Roxann Hart visited Scottsdale, Arizona where she saw Montana Firenze for the first time. She was impressed with the young stallion and in 2013, she booked two mares to him. The first was S Justatinkerbell (Justafire DGL x Gai Serena by Gai Parada), Rohara’s number one producing mare. S Justatinkerbell is the dam of international champions and her offspring reside in breeding programs in North America, South America and the Middle East. The second mare bred to Firenze was U.S. National Top Ten mare, Rohara Via Donna (Ever After NA x Indianne Psylk by Padrons Psyche). Rohara Via Donna has since joined Pat Dempsey’s elite broodmares at her Florida farm, Beloveds Arabians. Roxann had high expectations from both mares and they did not disappoint her. In fact, Roxann believes S Justatinkerbell’s 2014 colt, sired by Montana Firenze, is the mare’s best foal yet. In February of 2014, Roxann saw Montana Firenze again – as well as several of his offspring. Roxann was now thoroughly convinced Montana Firenze was a sire with true potential. Firenze’s foals had consistently inherited the same “X” factor that he possesses; that extra something that Roxann believes every great horse must have. “A great horse must have at least three extreme qualities. Firenze has even more! He has an extreme face, an extreme neck and front end, extreme tail carriage and great movement. He also has exceptional presence and wonderful character – he’s very spirited, yet very sweet. He is such a unique individual and he is passing all this on to his babies. Another thing – there is an old adage that says even a mediocre stallion can improve on a low quality mare. However, it takes a great sire to improve on a great mare. I gave Firenze some of my best mares and they gave me some of the best foals they ever produced. I was sold!” Roxann made an inquiry about the stallion. A short time later, she received a return phone call and within two days Montana Firenze had new owners; Mr. Fred Ravlin and Rohara Arabians, LLC, a new home in Orange Lake, Florida and new opportunities for his future. Montana Firenze was bred to excel as a sire. Nothing was left to chance. Every single line in Firenze’s pedigree includes the most influential sires and dams - past and present - in the Arabians breed. Roxann Hart was drawn to Montana Firenze from the start, “It was like we were connected and in many ways we really were. hobby. Lisa has a very deep love and affection for them. In an effort to console her, I suggested we look for another horse for her. after months of research, we found and purchased a beautiful colt by ajman moniscione owned by sax arabians. however when we went to see the colt, it seemed something was missing… the colt was very beautiful, but Lisa felt no connection, no chemistry with the colt. as we walked through the aisle ways, suddenly Lisa stopped at the stall of a beautiful colt. she knew immediately, this was the colt for her. We spoke to reinhardt sax – he was such a gentleman, he allowed us to exchange the horses. We became the proud owner of aslaan al shams (ajman moniscione x esstonia (esstashan).

When he was three-years-old, we decided to show aslaan al shams. In his very first competition, he was named Gold Champion! I thought this was fun and something we could enjoy together. however, Lisa warned me showing horses could be very expensive and suggested we should go slowly. But of course, I didn’t listen. I thought I need a horse that could win more. We – I – started buying more horses -– 15 horses – and I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I was thinking only about the show ring, not about breeding or the future. this is when Lisa stepped in and we had a discussion about what our goals could be and how we could work together to achieve them.

His story and journey into the Arabian horse world is no fairytale and was not by mistake by any means. The journey is a culmination of hard work, determination, sacrifice, strong beliefs, and moralities that have been passed down unchanged for over two thousand years. The oldest of seven children, Nofal Kahook was born in Jerusalem, Palestine amidst the brewing tension, which escalated to the 1967 Arab-Israeli War. The Pyramid Society was founded in 1969 as an organization of members dedicated to the international community of Egyptian Arabian horse breeders, owners, and supporters. For more than 45 years, the Pyramid Society and its members have dedicated their efforts to their mission, which has three equally important tasks; the preservation, perpetuation and promotion of the Straight Egyptian Arabian horse. It is not a coincidence these three important tasks are represented by the artistic pyramid icon of the Society, which is immediately linked to the homeland of the Egyptian Arabian horse! This year’s first-place winners each took home a check totaling $19,840.00. The Egyptian Breeders Challenge was created to encourage breeders and stallion owners and it has been very successful in achieving that goal.

Each year the Event offers classes for amateur and professional handlers to compete in halter and performance. In addition, The Pyramid Society hosts the Egyptian Breeders Challenge (EBC) Stallion Service Auction. This important program supports owners of straight Egyptian stallions and creates great opportunities for breeders and owners of both straight and non-straight purebred Arabian mares. The yearling classes are divided into two age sections; one for those born January 1- April 15 and the second for those with birthdays from April 16 - December 31. There is no age split for the two year old fillies and colts. These age divisions offer a fair and equitable opportunity for all breeders to showcase

their horses without the concern or stress over consideration of age. The culmination of the Egyptian Event was the Championship finals held on Saturday night. The air was electric with excitement as the winners from the preliminary classes returned to the ring to compete for the highest honors of the show. The Event is regarded as the largest and most prestigious showcase of the Egyptian horse. To win a championship title at the Event is the pinnacle of success in Egyptian breeding. The Pyramid Society awards Gold, Silver and Bronze metals to the Junior Fillies and Colts, as well as to the Senior Mares and Stallions. The Junior division includes yearlings,

two and three-year-old winners. The Senior division is for horses four years and older. The Gold Champion Straight Egyptian Junior Filly was Tibrah Al Shaqab (Farhoud Al Shaqab x Twom Hiddiyya), owned by Al Shaqab Member Qatar Foundation, Doha, Qatar. GLEANNLOCH FARMS - Legacy Showcase & Premier Auctions

On June 25, 2014, valuable and historic items from Gleannloch Farms and the estate of Douglas and Margaret Cullen Marshall were offered at an auction for the benefit of The Pyramid Society. This auction, held in beautiful Lexington Kentucky, achieved record-breaking results and made it a night for everyone to remember. Each year, the Pyramid Society hosts silent and live benefit auctions featuring equine art generously donated from noted artists around the world, as well as other luxury items. This year The Pyramid Society expanded their benefit auctions with two live auctions consisting solely of items from the legendary Las Palmas estate of Pyramid Society founding members and lifelong supporters Douglas B. and Margaret Cullen Marshall of Gleannloch Farms. The first auction took place Friday morning at the Fasig-Tipton equine auction facility. The second auction was held Friday evening at the Embassy Suites Ballroom as part of a gala dinner and tribute to the Marshalls. The auctions offered 90 items collected and acquired by the Marshals throughout their lives 34|ALJAWAAD ALARABI

and their world travels. The Marshals cherished art and antiquities associated with the Arabian horse and Middle Eastern culture. Their exquisite collection, which was a reflection of their discerning taste and their great love of beauty, included many breathtakingly beautiful Orientalist paintings, antique and commissioned bronzes, intricate Islamic metal-works, unique collectibles and beautiful Egyptian and Bedouin hand-made tack. Every item offered on the auction was purchased by fortunate and generous collectors. More than half a million dollars was raised for the benefit of The Pyramid Society. Bidders across the globe participated in the auction. Some attended the events while others joined the excitement through live, online bidding. The lots receiving the most interest from international participants and the most dramatic bidding were of historical and cultural significance. These items were the original native halters of two of the most influential Arabian stallions in the breed: Nazeer and Morafic. Who wouldnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t pay a kingâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s ransom for these artifacts? Together, these two museum-worthy artifacts sold for more than $275,000. No doubt, the price for the halter of the great Nazeer was

the highest ever achieved for such an item. Both of these halters are now in the loving care of the very generous benefactor, Mr. Mohammed J. Al Marzouq, owner of Ajmal Arabian Stud, of Kuwait. Mr. Marzouq is well known for his love of the Arabian horse and for his incredible collection of fine art. All of the historic items were donated by the Marshalls’ grandson, Dr. Doug Marshall, and his wife Dr. Amrita Ahuja. This was the largest donation in the history of The Pyramid Society. In addition to the record-breaking auctions, more than 100 items from the Marshall’s private collection and Gleannloch Farms were displayed and available for purchase at a beautiful boutique-like setting at the show. The Society is grateful and honored by this unprecedented donation. It will ensure the continued success of the organization of which Douglas B. Marshall was a founding member, as well as its first president. This generous gift will also help The Pyramid Society to continue its mission to preserve, perpetuate and promote the Straight Egyptian Arabian horse.

The contributions and legacy of Douglas and Margaret Marshall extend far beyond their generous gifts to The Pyramid Society. Their passion and dedication to the Egyptian Arabian horse resulted in landmark importations to the United States. First and foremost was the immortal stallion Morafic. In addition to the Marshall’s worldrenowned breeding program at Gleannloch Farms, their horses achieved great success in the show ring. The beauty and athletic ability of the Gleannloch horses brought the Egyptian Arabian to the attention of breeders in America. “When I met Lisa, I knew she was interested in horses and thought it was a nice hobby for her. In fact, Lisa had owned arabian horses for almost 20 years. Just after we got married, Lisa’s beloved stallion Chareb (shahin x asmena by neman ) died – she was heartbroken. It was at this time I began to understand that the horses meant far more to her than just a

We are still very new at this and we have been very fortunate to have met some really special people who have shared their immense knowledge and experience with us and who have helped us to improve our herd a little at a time. One of the first mares we purchased was a daughter of marwan al shaqab. We admired the style of this family of horses and we wanted to have these bloodlines for our breeding program. eks star of africa (marwan al shaqab x Bint starbright Bey by Besson Carol), was bred by mr. Willie Brown, of south africa. We purchased her from our dear friend mr. otto Berg, a man who has enriched our lives with his knowledge and expertise. 48|ALJAWAAD ALARABI

We also own a daughter of ajman moniscione, ss ajmans Laheeb (ajman moniscione x ss Certainlaheeb by laheeb). We bought this filly from two of the most significant people we have met through the horses: mustafa and Chera sabankaya. ss ajmans Laheeb is a result of 40 years of mustafa’s breeding program. mustafa has been, and will be our mentor and the source of experience for us. We have become very close friends. We wish to always show our gratitude to him and his lovely wife. although mustafa and I are not related by blood, I call him my uncle because of the deep respect I have for him, personally and professionally. this past spring we visited scottsdale with mustafa and Chera to watch ss ajmans Laheeb compete. rodolfo Guzzo showed her to top Five in a very tough class and we now look forward to breeding her as we simply love her bloodlines.

our small stud, al Fares, is located in stavanger, a city on the west coast of norway. It is very challenging to raise and show horses in norway; it’s expensive and it’s difficult to transport them to shows in europe. so, we looked for other options. now, we are very lucky to have our show horses with Johanna Ullstrøm & Chris Lowe. Both have done an incredibley good job for us and we know our horses are in the best care possible. recently, Lisa and I purchased the international champion, rohara Bacara. We own him in partnership with our good friends nils arne and sandra holmudden. It is a great honor to own a stallion like Bacara. When we first considered Bacara, some people said, ‘Don’t do that, he’s too old – he’s done.’ Let me tell you, rohara Bacara is definitely not done! every time he enters a show ring –

he leaves as a champion. however, more important to Lisa and me, Bacara represents our goal: good movement. he is known as one of the best movers and best producers of good movement. since we began breeding arabian horses, I have learned that good movement is the result of good conformation. of course, we also want to breed horses with beautiful heads and good bodies and Bacara does that too. a huge thanks to Chris Lowe and naples arabians, Linn and rejo, for making this happen. another very exciting young horse we acquired is elle narcisse (ajman moniscione x allamara ma by marwan al shaqab), we own him in partnership with markelle arabians in the United states. narcisse is a combination of two of our favorite arabian horse families. We look forward to using him with our mares and to see what he will contribute.

wIt is our intention to keep our broodmares at home and our show horses with Johanna and Chris in Europe. At this time, we have five mares at our stud in norway. We had three foals this year, which was very exciting and four of our mares were bred for foals next year. although, we now own rohara Bacara, we will continue to use other stallions to compliment our mares and to build our program. our goal is to breed some very special horses. We want to thank the people who have helped and encouraged us along our journey. We thank roxann hart of rohara arabians for breeding Bacara – in just the few months we have owned Bacara, he has enriched our lives beyond anything we could have imagined. We want also to thank magnus tingshagen, who showed and trained our first stallion to a gold champion title in norway.

agical. Spiritual. Soulful...’ these are the words I often hear to Describe the outcome of countless hours spent watching the paints upon my canvas unfold into nothing less than a story of a particular moment caught in time. I would like to share my palette with you as a peek into my creative process, and invite you to go on a creative journey through these words to attempt an answer to the question often asked: ‘how?” I began painting again after having set aside this passion for over twenty years to work in the cor porate field of graphic design. I still enjoy to see my works on food and product labels in airports, grocery stores, and business’s throughout the U.S.A.

Still, I knew I could not stay away from what felt like a ‘calling’ to create what I felt inside. I won’t forget that moment of decision to leave the corpo rate office, and instead, pick up my pallet. I had returned to what I now call the ‘soul self ’, and I will never step away again. I painted for many years ‘just for me’, an exploration of color, light, shadows and form. But, as I allowed my art to become more free and contemporary, I found myself being asked to create commissioned works. The quote: ‘do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life’, comes to mind. I reached further into new possibilities, and began to incorporate my signiture technique of using gold, sterling silver,

At last, I begin to see them upon my can vas, and almost as an observer, I watch as this feeling is brought to life, often surprised at the final outcome.

‫في‬

‫اطار احتفال المحافظة بعيدها القومي وقام بمشروع عالمى لصناعة الجياد‬ ‫معاهد للبيطارة والبيطرة والسياس لتوفير العمالة فى الداخل والخارج تضع‬ ‫محافظة الشرقية حجر االساس لنادي الفروسية والقرية االولمبية ‪ ،‬كما تطلق‬ ‫المحافظة علي هامش وضع حجر االساس عدة مسابقات للخيول العربية المسجلة والغير‬ ‫مسجلة ‪ .‬محافظ الشرقية ما يشغله هو نجاح مهرجان الشرقية للخيول المصرية وأن‬ ‫يكون مستمر سنوياً ‪ ،‬ولكى ينجح هذا الفكر قرر محافظ الشرقية عمل بروفه أولى‬ ‫للمهرجان الذى يحلم به يومى ‪ 9-8‬منن شهر سبتمبر بحيث يكون هناك العام القادم‬ ‫يوم قومى للمهرجان وعروض جديدة توضح العديد من االستخدامات المتنوعة للحصان‬ ‫العربى ‪ ،‬كما سيتم بناء فنادق لجذب المزيد من الزائرين والضيوف العام القادم‬ ‫ليعيشوا فترة فى محافظة الشرقية ويتعرفوا على اآلثار الموجودة بها ‪ ،‬وهذا ضمن خطة‬ ‫استراتيجية‪ .‬وأك َد المحافظ فى حواره لمجلة الجواد العربى أن محافظة الشرقية تسعى‬ ‫من أجل عمل صناعة الجياد وأن تكون مصدرا َ للجياد العربى األصيل من خالل إحياء‬ ‫تربية الحصان بالمحافظة وتصديرها للخارج‪ .‬وأوضح عبد العزيز أنه تم اإلجتماع مع‬ ‫مربى الجياد للتعرف على مشكالتهم وتزليل كل العقبات أمامهم وإيجاد حلول فورية‬ ‫للمشكالت وذلك خالل منظومة متكاملة تجعل المربيين مشاركين وفاعلين فيها لنحقق‬ ‫صناعة الجياد ونجعل من محافظة الشرقية مركز عالمى لتصدير الخيول ‪ ،‬فالشرقية لن‬ ‫تنال حظها خالل الفترة الماضية وآن اآلوان أن نضع الخطوط األساسية للتقدم‪ .‬وحول‬ ‫الجواد العريب ‪60‬‬ ‫|‬

‫حركة جيدة‪ .‬وهو معروف بأنه واحد من أفضل الخيول‬ ‫حركة وأفضل الخيول إنتاجا‪ .‬منذ أن بدأنا بتربية الخيول‬ ‫العربية األصيلة‪ ،‬لقد تعلمت أن الحركة الجيدة هي نتيجة‬ ‫التشكيل الجيد‪ .‬بالطبع‪ ،‬نريد أيضا تربية الخيول ذات‬ ‫الرأس الجميلة و األجسام الجيدة وهذا متوفر بالفعل فى‬ ‫الحصان باكارا‪.‬‬ ‫من الخيول المثيرة للغاية التى امتلكناها الحصان إيلى‬ ‫ناريكس الناتج من ‪( :‬عجمان مونسكيونى ‪ x‬ألمارا إم إيه‬ ‫بنت مروان الشقب)‬ ‫ونحن نمتلكه بالشراكة مع مربط ماريكل في الواليات‬ ‫المتحدة األمريكية‪ .‬و يعد الحصان ناريكس هو مزيج‬ ‫من اثنين من عائالت الخيل العربية المفضلة لدينا‪ .‬نحن‬ ‫نتطلع إلى استخدامه مع األفراس لدينا ورؤية ما سيساهم‬ ‫به فى اإلنتاج لدينا‪.‬‬ ‫فى نيتنا الحفاظ على المهور لدينا في الموطن وعروض‬

‫خيولنا مع جوانا وكريس في أوروبا‪ .‬في هذا الوقت‪ ،‬لدينا وآن ليز بيرغ لصداقتهما العزيزة ونشكر‪.‬‬ ‫خمسة من األفراس في مربطنا في النرويج‪ .‬كان لدينا هذا‬ ‫تجربة زوجتي ودعمها هي األساس الذى قام عليه‬ ‫العام ثالثة مهور مثيرة للغاية وأربعة مهرات ويتم تربية‬ ‫مربطنا "الفارس"‪ .‬اخترنا هذا االسم تكريما السم عائلة‬ ‫المهور للعام المقبل ‪.‬‬ ‫والدتي‪ ،‬وهو ما يعني "فارس"‪ ،‬في إشارة الى بلد الجد‬ ‫على الرغم من أننا نملك اآلن روهارا باكارا‪ ،‬فسوف نستمر الكبير الذي كان من فلسطين‪ .‬أريد أن أعرب عن امتناني‬ ‫في استخدام الفحول األخرى لتكتمل األفراس لدينا وبناء العميق لـ ليزا التي قدمتني إلى الحصان العربي‪ .‬بسبب‬ ‫برنامجنا‪ .‬فهدفنا هو أن تولد لنا بعض الخيول الخاصة جدا‪ .‬الخيول العربية فقد سافرنا إلى األماكن الجميلة في أوروبا‬ ‫ودبي وإلى سكوتسديل بوالية أريزونا‪ .‬و التقينا بعض‬ ‫نريد أن نشكر الناس الذين ساعدونا وشجعونا طوال‬ ‫الناس الرائعين حقا والذين نعتبرهم اآلن أصدقاء أعزاء‬ ‫رحلتنا‪ .‬نشكر روكسان هارت صاحب مربط روهارا‬ ‫جدا ً‪ .‬ولدي تجربة الفرح بالخيول العربية الجميلة‪ .‬و‬ ‫لتربية الخيل العربى على ثقته لنا فى بيع الحصان‬ ‫بسببك أعلم حقا كيف يمكن أن تكون الحياة رائعة "‪.‬‬ ‫الشهير والمميز روهارا باكارا‪ -‬في غضون األشهر القليلة‬ ‫من امتالكنا هذا الحصان‪ ،‬فقد أثرى حياتنا أكثر من أي‬ ‫شيء يمكن أن نتخيله‪ .‬نحن نريد أيضا أن نشكر ماجنوس‬ ‫تنشيجان‪ ،‬الذي عرض و درب أول فحولنا لتحوز لقب‬ ‫البطل الذهبى في النرويج‪ .‬نشكر السيد والسيدة أوتو‬

‫أعتقد أن سر النجاح في بناء مربطنا هو االستماع إلى‬ ‫زوجتي‪ .‬نحن فريق‪ .‬وهي العقل وأنا‪ ،‬حسنا‪ ،‬أنا ‪!- - - - -‬‬ ‫نحن نقوم بعمل جيد اآلن‪ .‬لدينا حوالي ‪ 10‬خيول‪ .‬نحن‬ ‫ال نزال حديثين للغاية في هذا األمر وكنا محظوظين جدا‬ ‫حيث التقينا بعض الناس المميزين حقا و الذين شاركونا‬ ‫بمعرفتهم وخبرتهم الهائلة والذين ساعدونا لتحسين‬ ‫القطيع لدينا قليال في كل مرة‪.‬‬ ‫كان واحدا من أول األفراس التى قمنا بشرائها ابنة مروان‬ ‫الشقب‪ .‬نحن معجبون بهذا النمط من هذه العائلة من‬ ‫الخيول وأردنا أن يكون هؤالء هم خط إنتاج لبرنامج‬ ‫التربية لدينا‪ .‬إيكس ستار أوف أفريقيا (مروان الشقب ‪X‬‬ ‫بنت ستار برايت بيه)‪ ،‬تربت على يد السيد ويلي براون‪،‬‬ ‫جنوب أفريقيا‪ .‬نحن اشتريناها من صديقنا العزيز السيد‬ ‫أوتو بيرج‪ ،‬والرجل الذي أثرى حياتنا بعلمه وخبرته‪.‬‬ ‫نحن نملك أيضا ابنة عجمان مونسكيونى‪،‬و هى تسمى‬

‫يقع مربطنا الصغير "الفارس" فى مدينة ستافانجر وهي‬ ‫مدينة على الساحل الغربي للنرويج ‪.‬تعد تربية و عرض‬ ‫الخيول فى النرويج تحديا كبيرا ً حيث أنها مكلفة كما‬ ‫توجد صعوبات فى نقل الخيول إلى العروض فى أوروبا‬ ‫لذلك بحثنا عن خيارات أخرى ‪ .‬اآلن‪ ،‬نحن محظوظون جدا‬ ‫أن يكون لنا عروضنا الخاصة لخيولنا مع كريس لوو وجوانا‬ ‫ألستروم‪ .‬كالهما قاما بعمل جليل جيد بالنسبة لنا‪ ،‬ونحن‬ ‫نعرف أن الخيول لدينا في أفضل رعاية ممكنة‪.‬‬

‫اشترينا هذه المهرة من اثنين من أهم الناس اجتمعنا‬ ‫معهم من خالل مجال تربية الخيول‪ :‬مصطفى سبانايكا‬ ‫وكان الحصان إس إس عجمان لهيب هو نتيجة ‪ 40‬عاما من‬ ‫برنامج التربية الخاص بمصطفى‪ .‬وكان مصطفى و سيظل‬ ‫معلمنا ومصدر خبرة بالنسبة لنا‪ .‬أصبحنا أصدقاء مقربين‬ ‫جدا‪ .‬نود أن نظهر دائما امتناننا له ولزوجته الجميلة‪.‬‬ ‫في اآلونة األخيرة اشتريت أنا و ليزا البطل الدولي‬ ‫على الرغم من أننى و مصطفى ال تربطنا عالقة الدم‪ ،‬إال‬ ‫أننى أعتبره عمي بسبب االحترام العميق لدي بالنسبة الحصان روهارا باكارا‪ .‬نحن نملكه في شراكة مع أصدقائنا‬ ‫له شخصيا ومهنيا‪ .‬في الربيع الماضي زرنا سكوتسديل ساندرا هلمودين وزوجها نيرس ارنى‪ .‬إنه شرف عظيم‬ ‫مع مصطفى وزوجته شيرا لمشاهدة منافسة إس إس المتالك فحل مثل باكارا‪ .‬و عندما فكرنا فى إمتالكه قال لنا‬ ‫عجمان لهيب‪ .‬أظهرت رودولفو جوزو الخمس األوائل في بعض الناس‪" ،‬ال تفعلوا ذلك‪ ،‬وقالوا إنه حصان عجوز جدا"‬ ‫فئة صعبة للغاية ونحن نتطلع اآلن إلى تربية لها فنحن قلت لهم اسمحوا لي أن أخبركم أن الحصان روهارا باكارا‬ ‫ليس بعجوز فهو في كل مرة كان يدخل فيها حلبة العرض‬ ‫ببساطة نحب خط إنتاجها‪.‬‬ ‫يغادرها كبطل‪ .‬وقد حقق لنا هذا الحصان هدفنا‪ :‬فهو ذو‬

‫وقال‬

‫"عندما يتم تقاسم الحب‪ ،‬ال يتضاءل؛ فإنه يتزايد ويصبح أكبر‪ ،‬أقوى وأكبر من‬ ‫ذي قبل"‪.‬‬

‫ألكثر من ‪ 20‬عاما‪ ،‬جعل طلعت أبو نعيما النرويج منزله‪.‬‬ ‫وهو رجل أعمال خبير فى مجال التنقيب فى صناعة‬ ‫النفط‪ .‬خالل حياته المهنية‪ ،‬التقى وتزوج من زوجته‬ ‫ليزا‪ .‬قصة حب واحدة أشعلت اآلخر لهذين الزوجين‬ ‫المخلصين وكان أبو نعيما بشكل مفرط يحكى قصة كيف‬ ‫أن حياته قد تغيرت منذ أن التقى ليزا‪ ،‬ومن خاللها التقى‬ ‫الحصان العربي‪.‬‬

‫عندما التقيت ليزا‪ ،‬كنت أعرف أنها كانت مهتمة بالخيول‬ ‫وأعتقد انها كانت هواية جميلة بالنسبة لها‪ .‬في الواقع‪،‬‬ ‫كانت ليزا تمتلك الخيول العربية األصيلة لنحو ‪ 20‬عاما‪.‬‬ ‫بعد أن تزوجنا بفترة قصيرة مات فحل ليزا الذى تحبه‬ ‫شاريب ابن (شاهين ‪ X‬اسمينا بواسطة نيمان) و انفطر‬ ‫قلبها من الحزن‪ .‬في هذا الوقت بدأت أفهم أن الخيول‬ ‫الجواد العريب ‪46‬‬ ‫|‬

‫تعني أكثر بكثير إليها من مجرد هواية‪ .‬ليزا لديها حب‬ ‫عميق جدا ومودة لهم‪.‬‬ ‫في محاولة لمواساتها اقترحت عليها أن نبحث عن حصان‬ ‫آخر لها‪ .‬بعد أشهر من البحث‪ ،‬وجدنا وذهبنا لرؤية الحصان‬ ‫فى مربط ساكس فى ألمانيا وهو من أوالد الفحل عجمان‬ ‫مونسكيونى ولكن عندما ذهبنا لرؤية الفحل‪ ،‬يبدو شيئا ما‬ ‫كان مفقودا ‪ ...‬الفحل كان جميال جدا‪ ،‬ولكن لم تشعر ليزا‬ ‫بأى عاطفة تجاهه‪ ،‬ال كيمياء مع الفحل‪ .‬بينما كنا نمشى‬ ‫خالل الطرق و الممرات‪ ،‬فجأة توقفت ليزا في حظيرة أمام‬ ‫فحل جميل‪ .‬أدركت على الفور أن هذا الفحل هو ما تبحث‬ ‫عنه‪ .‬تحدثنا إلى راينهارت ساكس ‪ -‬كان هذا الرجل نبيال و‬ ‫سمح لنا بتبادل الخيول‪ .‬أصبحنا فخورين بامتالك الحصان‬ ‫أصالن الشمس (عجمان مونسكيونى ‪ X‬إستونيا)‬

‫عندما كان في الثالثة من عمره‪ ،‬قررنا أن نظهر أصالن‬ ‫الشمس‪ .‬و في أول منافسة له ‪ ،‬أخذ لقب البطل الذهبى!‬ ‫اعتقدت أن هذا ممتعا وشيء يمكن أن نتمتع به معا‪.‬‬ ‫ومع ذلك‪ ،‬فقد حذرتنى ليزا من أن ظهور الحصان يمكن‬ ‫أن يكون مكلفا للغاية‪ ،‬واقترحت علينا أن نبدأ ببطء‪ .‬ولكن‬ ‫بطبيعة الحال‪ ،‬لم أستمع إليها‪ .‬ظننت أنني في حاجة الى‬ ‫الحصان الذي يمكن أن يفوز أكثر و أكثر‪ .‬بدأنا بشراء‬ ‫مزيد من الخيول ‪ – 15 -‬و لم يكن لي على اإلطالق أي‬ ‫فكرة عما كنت أفعله‪ .‬كنت أفكر فقط فى حلبة السباق‪،‬‬ ‫وليس حول تربية الخيول أو فى المستقبل‪ .‬هذا هو عندما‬ ‫توقفت ليزا وكان لدينا نقاش حول ما هى أهدافنا وكيف‬ ‫يمكننا العمل معا لتحقيقها‪.‬‬

‫مهلة ‪ 6‬أشهر لتصحيح األوضاع‬ ‫قبل تسجيل أي حصان عربي‬ ‫من أصل مصري‬

‫األخرى‪ .‬وهدد ناجل وزارة الزراعة بحق للمنظمة العالمية‬ ‫للحصان العربي بنا ًء على التصويت النسبي للجنتها التنفيذية‪-‬‬ ‫تعليق العضوية حتى معالجة جميع حاالت التقصير‪ ،‬مما‬ ‫يعني أنه لن يُسمح ألعضاء المنظمة العالمية للحصان العربي‬ ‫بتسجيل أي حصان عربي من أصل مصري بعد ذلك‪ .‬وقال‬ ‫فى خطابه‪ :‬إننا نرى في حالتكم هذه أنه باستطاعتكم تحديد‬ ‫مواضع التقصير ومعالجتها في غضون ستة أشهر‪ ،‬ولهذا فإننا‬ ‫نعلق أي إجراء من جانبنا حتى انقضاء المدة المذكورة آنفًا‪.‬‬ ‫ومع ذلك‪ ،‬يسعدنا أن نتلقى تقري ًرا مؤقتًا بعد ثالثة أشهر من‬ ‫هيئاتكم المعنية فيما يتعلق باألسلوب المتبع لحل الشكاوى‪.‬‬ ‫وختم ناجل خطابه قائال إننا نرغب بشدة في أن تظل مصر‬ ‫موط ًنا ألحد أفضل مرابط الخيول في الشرق األوسط نظ ًرا‬ ‫لما تتمتع به من خبرات كبيرة على مدار التاريخ‪ ،‬ولهذا فإننا‬ ‫نرسل إليكم هذا الخطاب بهدف الحفاظ على سمعة هذا‬ ‫المربط كواحد من أشهر السجالت‪.‬‬

‫الدكتور هانز ناجل رئيس المنظمة‬ ‫العالمية للحصان العربي خطابا مسجال‬ ‫بعلم الوصول يحمل رقم مسجل تحت‬ ‫رقم ‪ 278988‬لوزير الزراعة الدكتور أيمن فريد أبو حديد قال‬ ‫فيه‪" :‬يؤسفني إبالغكم بأننا تلقينا عدة شكاوى بشأن الطريقة‬ ‫المتبعة لتسجيل الخيول العربية في مربط الزهراء‪ .‬أوضح ناجل‬ ‫في خطابه أن الشكوي األولي تتعلق بتصحيح اإلجراء المتعلق‬ ‫بتحديد هوية الخيول وساللتها‪ ،‬حيث توجد خيول لدى بعض‬ ‫المربيين تم شرائها من محطة الزهراء لتربية الخيول العربية‬ ‫األصيلة التابعة لوزارة الزراعة واكتشف المربون وجود إختالف‬ ‫في بصمة الحمض النووي (‪ )DNA‬بخصوص الساللة‪ .‬وأشار‬ ‫ناجل إلي تسجيل وإصدار المستندات المتعلقة بالخيول‬ ‫العربية التي تربت على أيدي مربيي القطاع الخاص بمصر‬ ‫والذي أقرته المنظمة العالمية للحصان العربي للهيئة الزراعية‬ ‫المصرية‪ -‬مدة تصل إلى عامين‪ ،‬وخالل هذه المدة‪ ،‬يتم‬ ‫االحتفاظ بهذه الخيول دون تسجيلها على نحو صحيح‪ ،‬ولهذا‬ ‫يستحيل بيع تلك الخيول أو نقل ملكيتها لمربيين آخرين‪.‬‬ ‫الجواد العريب ‪44‬‬ ‫|‬

‫وعبر ناجل عن اندهاشه بالحالة التي وصلت إليها محطة‬ ‫الزهراء قائال لقد كانت محطة الزهراء للخيول ‪-‬منذ تأسيس‬ ‫المنظمة العالمية للحصان العربي ‪ -‬من األعضاء البارزين‬ ‫بالمنظمة والذي يحظى بتقدير وثقة كبيرة‪ ،‬ونظ ًرا لكونه من‬ ‫المرابط الرائدة لمربيي الخيول العربية على مستوى العالم‪،‬‬ ‫فيجب أن يحظى بسمعة طيبة بشأن دقة تسجيل الخيول دون‬ ‫أدنى شك‪ .‬فضالً عن ذلك‪ ،‬ونظ ًرا ألن الهيئة الزراعية المصرية‬ ‫هي جهة التسجيل الرسمية الوحيدة للخيول العربية في مصر‪،‬‬ ‫فيجب أن يثق بها جميع أعضاء المنظمة العالمية للحصان‬ ‫العربي‪ ،‬إضافةً إلى التأكيد على أن جميع المستندات الصادرة‬ ‫من ِقبلها صحيحة وال تحتاج إلى مراجعتها مرة أخرى للوقوف‬ ‫على مدى صحتها‪.‬‬ ‫وطالب ناجل من وزير الزراعة إصدار التعليمات للهيئة‬ ‫الزراعية المصرية المعنية والمسؤولة عن هذا العمل التخاذ‬ ‫خطوات فورية لمعالجة تلك المخالفات بأسرع طريقة ممكنة‬ ‫وعدم تكرارها مر ًة أخرى‪ ،‬كما يجب اتخاذ خطوات بحيث‬ ‫يتوافق إصدار المستندات مع توقيت السجالت األخرى بالدول‬

‫"مارشال" طوال حياتهم وأسفارهم حول العالم‪ .‬و يعتز الجنراالت بالفن والثقافية‪ .‬وكانت هذه البنود هى الحبال األصلية الثنين من الفحول العربية‬ ‫واآلثار المرتبطة بالخيول العربية وثقافة الشرق األوسط‪ .‬و تتضمن األكثر تأثيرا في ساللة التربية و هما ( نظير و مورافيك ) من الذى ال‬ ‫مجموعتهم الرائعة والتي كانت انعكاسا ألأذواقهم المميزة وحبهم الكبير يستطيع دفع فدية الملك لهذه القطع األثرية؟ معا‪ ،‬وهاتين القطعتين‬ ‫الجمال على العديد من اللوحات الشرقية الجميلة بشكل مذهل‪ ،‬أشغال األثريتين الخاصتين بالمتحف تم بيعها بأكثر من ‪ .$ 275،000‬وبال شك ثمن‬ ‫برونزية عتيقة ‪ ،‬أشغال إسالمية معقدة من المعادن‪ ،‬والمقتنيات الفريدة الرسن (حبل الحصان نظير) حقق أعلى سعر من أي وقت مضى لمثل‬ ‫والجميلة المصنوعة يدويا بواسطة المصريين والبدو‪ .‬تم شراء كل عنصر تم هذا البند‪ .‬كل من هذه الحبال اآلن في الرعاية المحببة للمتبرع السخي‬ ‫عرضه فى المزاد من قبل جامعي المقتنيات الكريمين و ذوى الثراء‪ .‬تم جمع جدا والسيد محمد جاسم المرزوق‪ ،‬صاحب أجمل الخيول العربية‪ ،‬الكويت‪.‬‬ ‫أكثر من نصف مليون دوالر لصالح جمعية الهرم‪.‬‬ ‫شارك مقدمي العروض من جميع أنحاء العالم في المزاد‪ .‬حضر بعضهم‬

‫السيد مرزوق معروف بحبه للحصان العربي وبمجموعته من الفنون الجميلة‬ ‫التى ال تصدق‪.‬‬

‫األحداث بنفسه بينما انضم آخرون إلى اإلثارة من خالل التغطية الحية تم التبرع بكافة العناصر التاريخية بواسطة حفيد الجنراالت الدكتور دوغ‬ ‫و البث المباشر‪ ،‬مزايدة على االنترنت‪ .‬األكثر استقباال ‪ ،‬األكثر اهتماما من مارشال‪ ،‬وزوجته الدكتورة أهوجا أمريتا وكان هذا أكبر تبرع في تاريخ‬ ‫المشاركين الدوليين و العطاءات األكثر إثارة كانت ذات األهمية التاريخية جمعية الهرم‪.‬‬

‫في ‪ 25‬يونيو عام ‪ ،2014‬عرضت أشياء ثمينة وتاريخية من مزارع و عقارات لألعضاء المؤسسين لجمعية الهرم أعضاء و الداعمين لفترات طويلة (دوغالس‬ ‫جلين لوخ دوغالس ومارجريت كولين مارشال في مزاد لصالح جمعية الهرم‪ .‬ومارجريت كولين مارشال) من مزارع ‪ . Gleannloch‬تم إقامة المزاد األول‬ ‫هذا المزاد الذي عقد في منطقة ليكسينغتون كنتاكي الجميلة و قد حقق صباح يوم الجمعة في منشأة مزاد الخيول ‪ Fasig-Tipton‬عقد المزاد الثاني‬ ‫نتائج قياسية وجعلها ليلة على الجميع أن يتذكرها‪.‬‬ ‫كل عام تستضيف جمعية الهرم المزادات المربحة الصامتة و الحية و التى‬ ‫تتميز بفنون الفروسية التى تبرع بها بسخاء فنانين مشهورين من جميع‬ ‫الجواد العريب ‪26‬‬ ‫|‬

‫من كل منظور‪ ،‬كان الحدث المصري لعام ‪ 2014‬نجاح عظيم آخر ‪ -‬بفضل الفحول التى نتجت من التربية و السالالت التى تم شراؤها من مزاد ‪EBC‬‬ ‫الجهود الموحدة من مجلس إدارة جمعية هرم و المتطوعين الرائعين‪ ،‬مطلوبة لعمل لقاحات منها يتم زرعها فى الرحم‪ .‬جميع الخيول المصرية‬ ‫المنظمين والموظفين‪ ،‬وبالطبع أصحاب ومربي الخيول من مختلف أنحاء الموثوق بها و البالغة من العمر سنه واحدة مؤهلة للتنافس على العوائد‬ ‫العالم الذين جلبوا خيولهم الرائعة لتقديمها‪.‬‬

‫الضخمة في هذه الدورات الخاصة بالمهور‪.‬و الهواة‪ .‬الفائزين فى المركز‬ ‫األول لهذا العام سيعود إلى بيته و معه شيك مجموعه ‪ .19،840.00‬دوالر‬

‫ظهرت حدث هذا العام لجنة دولية من القضاة بما في ذلك" ليزلي كونور" ‪ .‬بدأت دورة " التحدى للمربيين المصريين " لتشجيع المربيين وأصحاب‬ ‫من الواليات المتحدة األمريكية‪ ،‬الدكتور "نيكوالس" يونج من ألمانيا‪ "،‬إيرينا الفحول وأنها كانت ناجحة جدا في تحقيق هذا الهدف‪.‬‬ ‫ستيغلر" من روسيا و"هيلين هينكينز"فان نيس) من بلجيكا‪.‬‬

‫وسيلة آخرى هامة جدا ً تقوم بها جمعية الهرم هى تشجيع المربين و‬

‫كل عام تقدم هذا الحدث فئات من الهواة والمحترفين للتنافس في الرسن المالك‪ ،‬بينما تدعم أصحاب الفحل‪ ،‬من خالل المنفعة في المستقبل ‪.‬لقد‬ ‫واألداء‪ .‬باإلضافة إلى ذلك‪ ،‬تستضيف جمعية الهرم مزاد تحدي المربيين تجاوزت قيمة الدفعات على خيول فئة المنفعة في المستقبل"التكاثر"‬

‫جمعية الهرم في عام ‪ 1969‬كمنظمة مصرية دولية مخصصة ألعضاء الجمعية و مربي وأصحاب‪ ،‬ومؤيدين الخيول‬ ‫العربية‪ .‬لقد كرست جمعية الهرم وأعضائها جهودهم لمهمتهم ألكثر من ‪ 45‬عاما‪ ،‬وجمعية الهرم كان لديهم ثالث‬ ‫مهام ال تقل احدهم أهمية عن األخرى‪ :‬المحافظة‪ ،‬استمرار وتعزيز الخيول العربية المصرية األصيلة‪.‬‬

‫أسمعها لوصف نتائج الساعات التى ال تحصى و التي‬

‫فيها مغادرة مكتب الشركة‪ ،‬وبدال من ذلك‪ ،‬بدأت ألتقط لوحة الرسم الخاصة بى‪ .‬لقد‬

‫تقضى فى مراقبة الدهانات على قماشى ليست أقل من‬

‫عدت إلى ما أسميه اآلن "الروح الذاتية"‪ ،‬و لن أحيد عنها بعيدا مرة أخرى‪.‬‬

‫قصة تعبر عن لحظة مميزة استمتع بها‪ .‬أود أن تشاركوني بنظرة خاطفة في لوحة األلوان‬

‫الخاصة بى كعملية إبداعية‪ ،‬وأدعوكم للذهاب في رحلة إبداعية من خالل هذه الكلمات‬ ‫لمحاولة اإلجابة على السؤال‪" :‬كيف؟"‬

‫لقد رسمت لنفسى لسنوات عديدة بمزيج من اللون والضوء والظالل والشكل‪ .‬ولكن‬ ‫سمحت لفني أن يصبح أكثر حرية ومعاصرة‪ ،‬وجدت نفسي تتطلب منى إبداع العديد‬ ‫من األعمال كما القول المأثور الذى جال فى خاطرى‪" :‬إعمل ما تحب‪ ،‬وسوف تشعر‬

‫بدأت أرسم مرة أخرى بعد أن نحيت جانبا هذه العاطفة ألكثر من عشرين عاما لكى‬

‫وعبر ناجل عن اندهاشه بالحالة التي وصلت إليها محطة‬ ‫منذ تأسيس‬- ‫الزهراء قائال لقد كانت محطة الزهراء للخيول‬ ‫ من األعضاء البارزين‬- ‫المنظمة العالمية للحصان العربي‬ ‫ ونظرًا لكونه من‬،‫بالمنظمة والذي يحظى بتقدير وثقة كبيرة‬ ،‫المرابط الرائدة لمربيي الخيول العربية على مستوى العالم‬ ‫فيجب أن يحظى بسمعة طيبة بشأن دقة تسجيل الخيول دون‬ ‫ ونظرًا ألن الهيئة الزراعية المصرية‬،‫ فضالً عن ذلك‬.‫أدنى شك‬ ،‫هي جهة التسجيل الرسمية الوحيدة للخيول العربية في مصر‬ ‫فيجب أن يثق بها جميع أعضاء المنظمة العالمية للحصان‬ ‫ إضافةً إلى التأكيد على أن جميع المستندات الصادرة‬،‫العربي‬ ‫من قِبلها صحيحة وال تحتاج إلى مراجعتها مرة أخرى للوقوف‬ .‫على مدى صحتها‬ ‫وطالب ناجل من وزير الزراعة إصدار التعليمات للهيئة‬ ‫الزراعية المصرية المعنية والمسؤولة عن هذا العمل التخاذ‬ ‫خطوات فورية لمعالجة تلك المخالفات بأسرع طريقة ممكنة‬ ‫ كما يجب اتخاذ خطوات بحيث‬،‫وعدم تكرارها مر ًة أخرى‬ ‫يتوافق إصدار المستندات مع توقيت السجالت األخرى بالدول‬

‫الدكتور هانز ناجل رئيس المنظمة‬ ‫العالمية للحصان العربي خطابا مسجال‬ ‫بعلم الوصول يحمل رقم مسجل تحت‬ ‫ لوزير الزراعة الدكتور أيمن فريد أبو حديد قال‬278988 ‫رقم‬ ‫ "يؤسفني إبالغكم بأننا تلقينا عدة شكاوى بشأن الطريقة‬:‫فيه‬ ‫ أوضح ناجل‬.‫المتبعة لتسجيل الخيول العربية في مربط الزهراء‬ ‫في خطابه أن الشكوي األولي تتعلق بتصحيح اإلجراء المتعلق‬ ‫ حيث توجد خيول لدى بعض‬،‫بتحديد هوية الخيول وساللتها‬ ‫المربيين تم شرائها من محطة الزهراء لتربية الخيول العربية‬ ‫األصيلة التابعة لوزارة الزراعة واكتشف المربون وجود إختالف‬ ‫ وأشار‬.‫) بخصوص الساللة‬DNA( ‫في بصمة الحمض النووي‬ ‫ناجل إلي تسجيل وإصدار المستندات المتعلقة بالخيول‬ ‫العربية التي تربت على أيدي مربيي القطاع الخاص بمصر‬ ‫والذي أقرته المنظمة العالمية للحصان العربي للهيئة الزراعية‬ ‫ يتم‬،‫ وخالل هذه المدة‬،‫ مدة تصل إلى عامين‬-‫المصرية‬ ‫ ولهذا‬،‫االحتفاظ بهذه الخيول دون تسجيلها على نحو صحيح‬ .‫يستحيل بيع تلك الخيول أو نقل ملكيتها لمربيين آخرين‬

‫ قصة حب واحدة أشعلت اآلخر لهذين الزوجين‬.‫ليزا‬ ‫المخلصين وكان أبو نعيما بشكل مفرط يحكى قصة كيف‬ ‫ ومن خاللها التقى‬،‫أن حياته قد تغيرت منذ أن التقى ليزا‬ .‫الحصان العربي‬ ‫ كنت أعرف أنها كانت مهتمة بالخيول‬،‫عندما التقيت ليزا‬ ،‫ في الواقع‬.‫وأعتقد انها كانت هواية جميلة بالنسبة لها‬ .‫ عاما‬20 ‫كانت ليزا تمتلك الخيول العربية األصيلة لنحو‬ ‫بعد أن تزوجنا بفترة قصيرة مات فحل ليزا الذى تحبه‬ ‫ اسمينا بواسطة نيمان) و انفطر‬X ‫شاريب ابن (شاهين‬ ‫ في هذا الوقت بدأت أفهم أن الخيول‬.‫قلبها من الحزن‬
