Clark Give and Share Collection Success! November 9th was the last day for Key Clubber to donate “bags of sides”. We were asked to donate the following items: One box of instant mashed potatoes OR stuffing mix 1-2 canes of vegetables 1 can of turkey gravy 1 can of cranberry sauce Key Club Board members Brianna and Simonne carried dozens of collection food bags to Clark’s municipal building. The two board members filled two cars with donated bags. These bags were going to be given to families and friends who cannot afford a basic thanksgiving meal. Thanks to all who donated and made Thanksgiving easier for others!

November’s first meeting took place on Wednesday the 11th afterschool. The Board Members began the meeting by thanking everyone for all their service in October and that we should carry it into November. After discussing the upcoming events, members began signing up for events. Some members stayed behind to make posters for the District Volley Ball game on the 22nd.

Key Club’s first fundraiser at Panda Express was a success! The event took place on Saturday in the Clark Commons’ Panda Express. Key Clubbers and friends were able to attend the fundraiser from 12pm-8am. 25% of all proceeds were given to our Key Club. Thanks for all who came and keep the receipts! We will have a total amount raised in next issue, so keep a look out. Our next fundraisers will hopefully be taken place at Chipotle and Panera Bread.

Volunteers Needed!
Two events are happening on the first week of December. The Clark Emergency Squad is holding a lunch to promote the squad and interact with the community. ALJ Key Club has been asked to help out and make the event extra special. On December 5th, Key Clubbers can help set up and prepare for the luncheon at 10am to 3pm. This will involve serving and greeting all the guests. On December 6th, we need key clubbers to help clean up from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Both events will be at the Clark Emergency Squad building next to the fire department. Make sure to sign up for these two great events. All help is needed. This is event is special to the community since the Emergency Squad does so much for our town’s safety.

On the 22nd of November was the Key Club District Volley Ball Game! Weeks before, ALJ Key Club and near by Key Clubs have been preparing for the event in so many ways. STOP THE CLOCK 2015
Stop the Clock is one of Arthur L. Johnson’s favorite key club event because everyone can get involved! Stop the Clock is a huge fundraising event where students bring in spare change into their classes and the time it takes for the teacher to count, is how much free time the class has. The board members took time out of their schedules to go around collected all the donations from the classes that participated. In all, the highest amount collected from a classroom was 36 dollars! This class has won a prize of a pizza party. Thanks for all the help!
