Count Your Lucky Stars, headquartered in the sleepy town of Fenton, Michigan, is the brainchild of Keith and Cathy Latinen, who started the label after touring with their band Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate) and noticing how many amazing artists were being overlooked. Combining DIY sensibility and a strong work ethic, CYLS has had a heavy hand in tying the underground/basement scene together for years. The label specializes in signing some of the most exciting up-and-coming bands, who thrive on passion and love for their craft above all else. In 2012, the musical collaboration that is Just Desserts will be 30 years old. Beginning with influences of metal, goth, and progressive trance, Pride and Fall came together to combine the distinct and contrasting elements of these genres into something never heard before, spawning a refreshing and innovative surprise for the listener.
