Born in Brussels, Charles Loos played with the “cream of the crop” of the last 30 years of jazz music, including Chet Baker, Philip Catherine, Toots Thielemans, and more. Recorded in 1988 at Travers, the Brussels club that closed in 2000, this remastered reissue features exclusive photos and an expanded booklet.
The second album from pianist Eve Beuvens features a septet that changes conventions, playing on the harmony of contrasts between lyricism and libertarian jazz. Eleven compositions played by an outstanding group, which clearly shows the influences of Thelonious Monk or Charles Mingus.

Born in Rome in1949, Enrico Pieranunzi developed his love of jazz from his father, and by imitating what he heard on 78s by the likes of Charlie Parker, Lee Konitz, Lennie Tristano, and Chet Baker. The latter, with whom Pieranunzi eventually got to play and record in Italy in the early ’80s, steered his piano influences away from McCoy Tyner and Chick Corea toward Bill Evans.
