“Dream-pop drifters pacificUV may sound beach-ready, but the Athens, Georgia foursome’s approach feels much more akin to what’s happening in the ionosphere. Case in point: new single ‘24 Frames,’ an M83indebted space-symphony that fuses a zero-gravity bass line and cratering percussion to wobbly synths … this intergalactic swooner sounds like some lost transmission from Spiritualized’s Jason Pierce.”

SKINNY PUPPY :: VICE

MTP 870 D

“Some advice for those who have trouble getting into this sort of groove: picture a troupe of bloodied, pouty-faced cyborgs frantically battling tuxedoed sentinels on the edge of a wire-frame skyscraper. Put simply, Skinny Puppy’s digital dystopia is becoming an analog reality. Nothing left to do but dance your jockstrap off, jock!”

Front Line Assembly Echogenetic

Selling Points

• One of the longest-running and most popular acts in the electro-industrial scene. • Previous studio album Improvised.Electronic.Device. debuted at #23 on Billboard Dance/Electronic chart. • U.S. tour being planned to coincide with release. • Extensive back catalog on Metropolis Records. • RIYL: Skinny Puppy, Delirium, Noise Unit.

Media & Marketing

• Press service handled by Another Reybee. • Additional in-house servicing to press, radio, and club DJs. • Targeted Facebook and Google ad campaigns.

With new album Echogenetic, long-running industrialists Front Line Assembly show a new facet of their respected band. Mastermind Bill Leeb, along with Jeremy Inkel, Jared Slingerland, Craig Johnsen, and Sasha Keevill, have created a concussive, driving opus. Completely guitar-free, the new album relies entirely on electronics. The opening chords of the seething “Resonance” set the tone, and segue perfectly into the complex percussion of “Leveled” and the anthemic dance track “Killing Grounds.” Tracks such as “Ghosts” and the title track show the band willing to push past the boundaries between modern electronica and electro-industrial. Overall, Echogenetic shows Front Line Assembly is in top form, and continues to be a leading force in the electronic music scene. “Even for non-gamers, AirMech is a definite keeper for FLA fans and anyone who grooves on dark, violent, and cinematic-scale industrial & EBM.” — FEAR.NET “A fantastic addition to the already extensive Front Line Assembly library. This album is destined to be spun endlessly on dance floors.” — BLOODY DISGUSTING

Companions in Crime Selling Points

• One of the longest running acts in the electroindustrial scene! • Extensive back catalog on Metropolis Records. • RIYL: Wumpscut, Suicide Commando, Rotersand, Decoded Feedback, Accessory.

Media & Marketing

• Full servicing to press, radio, and club DJs. • Targeted Facebook and Google ad campaigns to coincide with the release.

Aggro-industrial legends Funker Vogt return with Companions in Crime, an all-new album for 2013. While staying true to their signature sounds, the new album finds the band exploring the more melodic side of things. Jens Kastel’s distorted vocals touch upon varied subjects, from war and violence to religion. Funker Vogt’s political stance is decidedly anti-war; the band cites war and social injustice as primary topics, noting that the goal was to “present the grotesque cruelties and the tragedy of war.” Companions in Crime continues the strong tradition of classic Funker Vogt albums. Thea Gilmore Regardless

Selling Points

• Endorsed by celebrity fans including Bruce Springsteen and Joan Baez. • Posthumous Sandy Denny collaboration “London” dominated last year’s London Olympics coverage. • Features Seadna McPhail (Elbow), Danish producers The Suppliers (Ron Sexsmith, Martha Wainwright), and arranger Pete Whitfield (Plan B). • RIYL: Jack Savoretti, Bob Dylan, Lou Rhodes.

In July 2013, critically acclaimed songwriter Thea Gilmore returns with her new studio album Regardless. If Gilmore’s name sounds familiar, it may be thanks to the many plaudits the press have directed her way, or the endorsement of fans including Bruce Springsteen and Joan Baez, or perhaps even her posthumous Sandy Denny collaboration “London,” which dominated last year’s London Olympics coverage and climbed into the upper reaches of the iTunes singles chart. Gilmore and her longstanding musical partner & producer Nigel Stonier have journeyed into new territories this time around, with Regardless featuring more lush string sections than scruffy acoustic guitars and harmonicas. Nine months were spent in five different studios, hooking up with collaborators Seadna McPhail (Elbow), Danish producers The Suppliers (Ron Sexsmith, Martha Wainwright), and string arranger Pete Whitfield (Plan B). The album feels like an evolution of Gilmore’s songwriting talents: bigger and glossier, but still with the wit and honesty that sets her work apart. “A giant talent … Gilmore’s grasp of imagery can be breathtaking.” — THE GUARDIAN “Deceptively populist and deceitfully dark.” — MOJO

Over the years, Laverack has had the privilege of playing on bills with Freedie Johnston, The Tom Tom Club, The Mekons, and Philip Glass, as well as many others. Four years in the making, Cave Drawings showcases the best of Laverack’s songwriting, bolstered by Mark Ambrosino’s refined production and great performances from a stellar band including Marc Shulman (Suzanne Vega) and Jeff Langston (Antony and the Johnsons). The record offers an emotionally and musically diverse range for the listener. While tapping into the classic ’50s and ’60s style of production, the music is folk-rock with a soulful delivery.

The new Faderhead album FH4 once again solidifies the exceptional position of this German producer in the electro scene: a bit more pop-oriented and less dark than the previous two releases, it is doubtful that any other current electro record will get stuck in the brains of listeners and club-goers like the 13 songs on this CD. Canada’s most insane, undead psychobilly horror-punks are back with their latest, greatest album to date! The Monster Within is an unholy collection of mind-bendingly ear-scorching tracks that grab you by the neck and dare you to fight back. The impossibly fast, tight rhythm section of Pat Kadaver (skins) and Colin The Dead (standup bass) threaten to push the limits of sanity and safety to the very edge, while Rene D La Muerte’s haunting croon sends shivers up the spines of even the most jaded listener, and his signature guitar stylings fuse the rockabilly sounds of the ’50s with the intensity of a chainsaw-wielding maniac in a room full of teenagers.

This is the year in which the country of Portugal will finally score a significant footprint on the global stoner rock map, thanks to Lisbon’s self-described “authentic rock ‘n’ roll disaster band” Miss Lava. Not that the quartet was born just yesterday; rather, Miss Lava has been snapping guitar strings, bashing drum skins, and tearing shins across the floorboards of European stages for half a decade. They inaugurated their recording endeavors with a self-titled, blood-red vinyl EP in 2008, and quickly followed with their debut full-length album, Blues for the Dangerous Miles, toward the end of 2009. The year 2010 witnessed the group’s first international forays via two UK tours, followed in August 2011 with a show at Los Angeles’ historic Whisky a Go Go and, in late 2012, the announcement of a globe-spanning deal with Detroit’s Small Stone Recordings that will see the release of Miss Lava’s sophomore album, Red Supergiant, in July 2013.

Eliane Radigue’s Adnos trilogy was composed between 1973 and 1980, and is among her finest compositions. Adnos is a deeply meditative work of infinite depth and sensitivity; one of the high points of modern minimal electronic composition. Packaged in a heavy-duty 3XCD jacket, much like the recent Eleh releases, this beautiful set contains extensive archival materials. “These three magisterial compositions were realized between 1973 and 1980 by Paris-based composer Eliane Radigue … Describing Radigue’s work with the simple (and these days overused) epithet ‘drone’ is somewhat misleading, for unlike classic examples of the genre, from La Monte Young and his erstwhile violinist Tony Conrad, Radigue’s music is almost constantly on the move.” — ALL MUSIC GUIDE “Triptych is wonderful. Radigue’s music doesn’t just have depth, it has narrative: it rises and falls; it dilates and contracts, utilizing pure sound rather than harmony for its development.” — PITCHFORK (8.0 rating) “Brave new worlds … Eliane Radigue’s still, slow soundscapes made her an electronic music pioneer.” — THE GUARDIAN

John Lemke is a Glasgow-based composer and sound designer, originally from Berlin. Working across a great variety of media, he explores all things sonic through collaborations, live performance, film sound design, and especially his work as a documentary film composer for the BBC and Channel 4. Motivated by fusing elements of his more emotive film compositions with rhythm and space, John creates a distinctive sound blend on his debut solo album, where percussive, prepared piano collides with abstracted guitar landscapes and disembodied vocal textures to form a danceable, electro-acoustic whole. With a process drawing on techniques of musique concrète, sound design concepts, and the use of homemade field recordings from around Europe, the album is filled with depth and a real sense of journey.
