ALLEGRO WELCOMES SMOKE SESSIONS RECORDS P.10–12 Smoke Sessions Records is a boutique jazz label founded by the owners of New York City’s influential Smoke Jazz Club. The label features some of the biggest names in straight-ahead jazz performing in the intimate environment and celebrated acoustics of the club. The “sessions” include both live and studio recordings, produced using vintage techniques and audio paths in combination with modern high-definition recording techniques, resulting in sonically refined live records and warmly imbued studio sessions. Inspired by the golden age of independent jazz labels like Blue Note, Prestige, and Riverside, Smoke Sessions Records is dedicated to producing new titles that belong in the company of the classics.
