The bonus tracks are from Horne’s single releases, all making their CD debut, including four songs from her Broadway musical success Jamaica that were recorded with Neal Hefti for the “pop” world and not included in the subsequent Broadway cast album.
Sam Taylor was a popular jazz player in America who had an even bigger career in Japan, where he performed countless times throughout the 1960s and 1970s and where he made numerous recordings including the atmospheric album Mist of the Orient with Japanese musicians. The album had wellreceived American issue, but has never had a full CD reissue till now, including 10 bonus tracks from the album Misty Mood.
