• The first release of the brand new label Outnote Records! • There is nothing like the “standards” to judge a musician’s skills. An ex-drummer and a rock/soul fan who came to play jazz, Ronnie Lynn Patterson doesn’t use the master composers (Coltrane, Monk, Rodgers & Hart) to forge a reputation—he devotes himself to the repertoire with a passionate respect. • Born in Kansas, Patterson reveals a musical personality that borrows from various influences: Rachmaninov, Morton Feldman, and Keith Jarrett. With the latter, Patterson shares a sheer pleasure of playing. • Here, Patterson joins forces with twins François & Louis Moutin. Each brother integrates himself into the universe of the pianist-leader and expresses his musicality in a very smooth way. Without any brusqueness, with generosity and freshness, Ronnie Lynn Patterson gives birth to an excellent album. Ronnie Lynn Patterson: piano Francois Moutin: bass Louis Moutin: drums Track Listing: Lazy Bird • Moon and Sand • Evidence • All Blues • Blues Connotation • It’s Easy to Remember • Summer Night • Blue in Green “Ronnie Lynn Patterson is an exemplary artist who has managed to distance himself from what came before him and what exists without, and throw himself body and soul into this material, sublimated through his art from a compact mass to a volatile ether, the very substance of dreams.” — Alain Gerber, jazz critic

• Here are 15 previously unissued recordings from the treasure chest that Duke Ellington liked to refer to as the “stockpile.” Although he professed little concern for posterity and always placed emphasis on “the now,” he took care of both in incomparable fashion. • Ellington has left us not merely finished, definitive versions of his music, but also the experimental, workshop models on which the ideas for masterpieces were explored and developed. In effect, what we have is a huge sketchbook, where prototypes, alternatives, and variations are shown with fascinating differences of detail, all of which are very well-illustrated in this collection. Jermaine Landsberger & Paulo Morello Hammond Eggs Many anecdotes and clichés have grown up around the Hammond B3. This is no problem at all for a highly accomplished organ player like Jermaine Landsberger, particularly when he has a guitarist with the same tongue-in-cheekiness at his side: Paulo Morello. The duo has taken up the challenge of freeing the mighty organ from the realm of nostalgia and dusty grooves and, with Hammond Eggs, they have discovered the real thing. This production cleverly links together blues, boogaloo, modern jazz, shuffle, and funk, and—notwithstanding this unconventional approach—the music brings out the true character of the B3 throughout the session. Theo Bleckmann I Dwell In Possibility 2009 Grammy Award nominee Theo Bleckmann’s first solo album on Winter & Winter! June 2010 feature in the Village Voice, which describes Bleckmann as “the most startlingly original male vocalist since Bobby McFerrin.” Bleckmann’s adventurous and extravagantly beautiful choices have led his work to be described as “from another planet” (New York Times), “magical” (AllAboutJazz), and “transcendent” (Village Voice). Inspired by the Arte Povera, the ’60s Italian art movement that created installations with the simplest and “poorest” materials, Bleckmann creates with humble means and the devotion of a prayer. Besides his voice and a myriad of acoustics, Bleckmann has chosen some unlikely companions for his solos: music boxes, megaphones, autoharp, glasses, water, shruti, and various toys. This soundtrack to the film 442: Extreme Patriots of WWII features music by Kitaro and dialogue from the film, featuring US Senator Daniel Inouye and George Takei. • The 442nd Infantry Regiment was a segregated unit formed by the United States Military. This US Army regiment, composed mainly of Japanese-American soldiers, became one of the most decorated units for its size and length of service in the history of the US Military. Due to their exceptional combat records and the high number of casualties, they were nicknamed the “Purple Heart Battalion.” • 442: Extreme Patriots of WWII is a film about the 100th Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, who were first seen as the problem, but later proved to be the problem solvers. It’s a story of the 442 veterans, their struggle, and their victories as American soldiers and civilians. • Coupled with the film is the music of world-renowned Grammy and Golden Globe Award-winning artist Kitaro. His various sound collaborations and resonant, multi-textured compositions, with their crescendos of passion and oases of serenity, dramatically intertwine a powerful and vivid sphere of consciousness to this riveting chapter of Japanese-American history during World War II. • This disc includes dialogue from the film, featuring current US Senator Daniel Inouye, George Takei, and several decorated veterans and Medal of Honor recipients. • Full promo servicing to all national, indie, and online retailers along with national and regional co-op advertising. National and regional publications will be serviced. Consumer print advertising will mirror publicity and editorial efforts as they unfold. • Multi-tiered campaign targeting NPR, nationally syndicated & commercial specialty programs, CMJ & NAR reporting stations, selected AAA stations, satellite providers, webcasters, and regional public broadcasters. • Colosseum was formed in the late 1960s by phenomenal drummer Jon Hiseman, who came from John Mayall’s legendary band, The Bluesbreakers. The other original member was keyboardist extraordinaire Dave Greenslade, who would go on to have an extensive and successful solo career. Guitarist Dave (“Clem”) Clempson (who would later go on to play with Steve Marriott in Humble Pie) joined the band with their third album, and British blues singing sensation Chris Farlowe signed on after the first three albums. Bassist Mark Clarke and sax player Barbara Thompson also played in the early incarnations of Colosseum. • Live05 documents the band at its very best in wonderful European settings with enthusiastic audiences. Besides a stirring take of Jack Bruce’s cinematic classic “Theme from an Imaginary Western,” the two-disc set includes several of the songs from their seminal albums, including “Rope Ladder to the Moon,” “Stormy Monday Blues,” “Those Who Are About to Die,” “Lost Angeles,” and “The Valentyne Suite,” which showcases Greenslade’s amazing keyboard artistry. Together, the musicians in Colosseum create a powerful mix of rock, blues, and jazz-fusion that transcends all musical barriers. • All press & radio (jazz, blues & rock) will be serviced.

The fourth volume in a continuing series of beautifully expressed and richly resonant peace-themed albums through which to contemplate our changing world. • The fourth volume in a collection of albums inspired by the classic Buddhist pilgrimage to the 88 temples of the Japanese island Shikoku, ancestral home of the beloved Buddhist holy man Ku-kai. • Each track on this album revolves around the unique bell sound from each temple, using actual sampling and Kitaro’s inspired musical interpretations and distillations of their essences. Volume four breaks new ground with the addition of violinist Steve Kindler (member of The Honolulu Symphony, and former member of John McLaughlin’s fusion band). • Grammy and Golden Globe winner Kitaro has garnered global acclaim over a three-decade career as a composer and musician of sound collaborations and resonant compositions. Kitaro’s atmospheric, powerfully emotive, and multi-textured music truly defies the constraints of any genre. • Full service to all national, indie, and online retailers along with national and regional co-op advertising. • Multi-tiered radio campaign targeting NPR, CMJ & NAR reporters, selected AAA stations, and more. • Aggressive online marketing strategy will spread awareness via viral and guerilla marketing methods, including online radio, blogs, ringtones, podcasting, digital downloads, and email advertising, as well as extensive cross-promotions with high-traffic websites. Experience the immense power of spirituality with this beautiful recording, which features Tina Turner & Dechen Shak-Dagsay singing Buddhist prayers, and Regula Curti singing Christian prayers. • This innovative CD features superstar diva Tina Turner chanting three Buddhist prayers and a spiritual message, Dechen Shak Dagsay singing Buddhist prayers, and Regula Curti singing Christian prayers. • Whoever you may be, whatever religion you may come to, when your prayers come from deep within your heart, a transformation takes place and you find yourself “beyond” right and wrong. • Although the three women featured on this CD are each praying in their own tradition, they experience the immense power of deep spirituality when they chant together, regardless of religion. • Ideal for the healing arts and relaxation. “All religion teaches the virtues of love, altruism, and patience, while showing us how to discipline and transform ourselves to achieve inner peace and a kind heart. Therefore, they are worthy of our respect. Music, singing, and chanting are powerful ways to express and communicate such wholesome ideas with and among others. Bringing together corresponding pieces from Christian and Tibetan Buddhist traditions, as has been done here, will allow listeners to share in these prayers, stirring thoughts of deeper respect and peace in their lives.” — His Holiness the Dalai Lama Tina Turner: voice, chanting Dechen Shak-Dagsay: voice, chanting Regula Curti: voice, chanting • Beyond • Connecting Hearts • Sound of Mystic Law • Interlude • Holy Praise • Heavenly Joy • Healing Power • Embracing Wisdom • Compassionate Love • Interlude • Purity of Mind • Dance with the Divine • Power of Forgiveness • Interlude • Devotion

• In 1989, dancer Anne-Frane Brunet and musician Vincent Zanetti presented their first duet show. Both hailing from Switzerland, and marked by their encounter with Africa, they created Djinn Djow, a cross-cultural music and dance company. • After a number of shows and tours, the duo’s horizon widened when they joined the band of djembe master Soungalo Coulibaly. They worked with him until his untimely death in March 2004, and “ever since that day, each note and each dance step has remained marked with his presence.” • From Switzerland to Mali, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal, Djinn Djow has championed cross-culturalism as a principle of artistic creation implying determination, perseverance, and work, along with open-mindedness, exchange, and sympathy (in the literal sense of vibrating together). • This new album presents a repertoire related to the brotherhood of hunters, illustrated by the griot Sidikiba Coulibaly. • Brazil in Paris! Picture a sidewalk café in Ménilmontant, on a Tuesday. It is one of those days when the timid Parisian sun caresses the district’s cosmopolitan crowd, and a soft breeze manages to outshine the rumbling of the métro. The (re)union of Paris, Rio, and Saõ Paulo, all sitting at the same table: such is the very urban sound of Terça Feira Trio. • TFT’s music sails on the choro repertoire. Yet in Paris, these musicians have been feeding on jazz and music from the world over. The daring and delicate cavaquinho challenges the melodies of the violin on a percussive tapestry neatly woven by the pandeiro’s jingles. • The sound of the Terça Feira Trio slips into the interstices of traditional Brazilian rhythms and unfolds itself in the cross-cultural present. Between folk and erudite music, samba hues with shades of forró flirt with jazz. Their music links both sides of the Atlantic in their image: modern, mischievous, and virtuosic. Ricardo Herz: violin Fernando Cavaco: cavaquinho Sergio Krakowski: pandeiro Vincent Segal: cello David Linx: vocals Stev Shehan: percussions Gabriele Mirbassi: clarinet Track Listing: Cochichando • Brejo da Cruz • Santa Morena • Chorinho em Itapeva • Um a Zero • Proezas de Solon • Navega • Bola Preta • Quase Caindo • Vibracoes • Canto das Tres Raças Key Markets: New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, Seattle

From Wynonna Judd and Kathie Lee Gifford to Ben Vereen and Dave Brubeck, 16 celebrities come together to narrate Moozie the Cow’s orchestral tour, a presentation of the Children’s Kindness Network! • Moozie the Cow is the ambassador of kindness for the Children’s Kindness Network, and uses “Always Be Kind” as her motto to emphasize building a culture of kindness by being kind to others, kind to the earth, kind to animals, and kind to oneself. Amidst recent news stories about the growing bullying epidemic amongst kids, Moozie’s message couldn’t be more timely! • Moozie started as a simple garage project for founder Ted Dreier, who grew up on a Kansas dairy farm. But when it was discovered that children loved Moozie—and paid close attention to what she was saying about kindness—Moozie took on a life of her own! • Seeing the impact that Moozie had on children, Dreier stepped back from his corporate life as a public speaker in 1998 and committed his energy and time to building a culture of kindness with the goal of reducing violence and bullying among children. • Moozie’s cow logic books have been around for years, and sold tens of thousands of copies through Cracker Barrel outlets in the late ’90s. • This package includes a variety of additional projects, including printable coloring sheets and “broccoli maps,” to name a few. • Utilizing “kindness” and “bullying” buzzwords, there will be a large press mailing to all major press including NPR, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal. • Mailing and follow-up by CKN publicist to major talk/morning shows including Oprah, Ellen, Today Show, Good Morning America, and Larry King.
