Observations
• The dominant construction method of the facility is post and lintel construction
• The school is a properly functional institution with highly intelligent tutors and ambitious students, but it lacks the technical abilities needed to be fully recognized as a world class institute of the Arts
Observations
The various departments in the school of performing Arts (Music + Drama + Dance) are arranged around courtyards to promote interactions and collaboration between the teachers, students and both teachers + students

The Location - Why Ningo-Prampram District ?
• The Location
• The district is located about 15 km to the east of Tema and about 40 km from Accra, the capital of Ghana.
• The Area
(Facts + Figures)
• The following stated below are some of the statistical analysis of the area (Ningo-Prampram district)
• The Population
• 70,923 people
• 47.3% males
• 52.7% females

• Hope City
• Saglemi Housing Project
• Dawa Industrial Power Park
• Strengths of the area
• Availability of land and possible expansion
• Development potentials
• Serene environment
• Weakness of the area
• The current road size
•
Justification
The following stated below is an attempt to justify the placement of the Academy at the Ningo-prampram District
• The inevitability of the urbanization of Ningo-prampram.
• The development of new infrastructural facilities within the area such as the New International Airport
• The construction of the International Airport would bring about a new entry (gateway) into the region and Country, making the Academy of Arts serve, almost as a cultural embracing to both international, continental and local visitors
• To aid in the decongesting of major areas like Accra and Tema.
• The area represents the vision of the facility, a Paradigm shift from the norms and the expected of contemporary society and popular culture

• Comment
• The Architecture of the area is Vernacular and modernist inclined
• Water is usually supplied by Ghana water ways but is closed occasionally, hence water storage is key
• The grid pattern of the area is undefined.
