Restaurant Brand Development
concept The Chocolate Sanctuary, located in Gurnee, IL, is currently in development. The restaurant, lounge, and boutique will feature mid-range casual American cuisine inspired by the flavors of the cacao bean. The owners envision TCS as an inviting space; exciting, intriguing, and sophisticated, yet comfortable and welcoming to all. The color palette was chosen to reflect the desired atmosphere as well as the tones of a cacao bean.

The Residential College at West Ambler Johnston is a residence hall on the Virginia Tech campus in which students extend learning beyond the classroom through academic, service, and social events. The College is divided into four Houses, each student-run and with its own personality, traditions, and design elements. The following pages detail the design identities that resulted from working closely with students from each house.

These selected advertising materials were created to inform residents of Holly House of the holiday-themed events planned during December 2013. Included are hallway signs, small informational fliers, and the image used for the cover photo of the Holly House residents’ Facebook group.

Industrial Design Minor Studio Currency Design project
Project Objective: Create a set of currency for an organization (real or fictional), including features such as anti-counterfeit measures and serial numbers to add a sense of authenticity. This currency set celebrates the first six Disney princesses and the films in which they appear. Each bill features its own color scheme and patterning, but all maintain the same basic design and anti-counterfeit elements. The bills are printed on two sheets of translucent material with a third layer in between the two. The middle layer is cut into an icon that represents the princess (for Snow White, an apple is shown). The icon is visible as a watermark when held up to the light. 14

Studio Exhibition
At the end of my semester in Switzerland, the class held an exhibition of our studio work. These invitiations were sent out across Europe to friends of the program and local people in town.
The graphics were inspired by Mario Botta’s Casa Bianchi, Riva San Vitale’s most famous piece of architecture. The projects on display were all winery proposals involving the Casa Bianchi in some way. The house serves as an icon for the town and became an icon for the group of sixteen projects as a whole.
