Welcome to the Cowtown Classic On behalf of the GB Marketing crew, we would like to welcome you to Cowtown and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. What an honor it was to be asked to manage The Cowtown Classic 2020 sale for the Texas Simmental/Simbrah Association. It has been a pleasure to work with the consignors from across the country, who so graciously participated and sent genetics from miles and miles away just to be part of this event. We are excited to showcase the Simmental and Simbrah breeds through this sale and the Texas Simmental/Simbrah Association would like to thank each of you for consigning. It is because of you and your commitment to hard work in our breed that these cattle will continue to make an impact for years to come. Shipwreck Cattle Company | Jered Shipman (806) 983-7227 bred to HOC Dakota 111D, Due 04/2020.z Everyone in the business talks, “Big feet, big legs,” or “squishy footed, incredible structured”, we’re just going to say that this female is as nice of a breeding piece as we have ever offered at public auction. Her physical build is not only elite for a purebred, but extremely unique when you add her genetic predictors into the equation. Then she becomes near unicorn status. She ranks in the top 3% TI, 5% YW, 10% WW, 15% API, MARB, REA, and 25% CE. With that said, we feel that she is a female of high priority when you analyze her pedigree and build. Her dam was a class winner in 2016 at the AJSA National Classic and now works in the Diamond A program of Illinois. The Shez It donor, the maternal granddam, is one of the highlight females in the Wesner program that continues to produce in the top 5 to 10% annually in Chalmers, Indiana. The maternal great great granddam’s influence is featured in a large number of programs and it could be said that she’s the sole foundation of the C&C Farms program of Georgia, Sheza Fantasy N906. Her sire is the Main Event sired, numerical outlier with look and balance, CDI Innovator, owned by Steenhoek and Wayward Hills, that was produced in the aggressive/ progressive minded CDI and Lazy C Diamond programs of North Dakota. In summary, you all know the value of elite sire and top shelf cow family influence, but when the phenotype is right and the EPD and Index Values are of such, the “elite factor” becomes multiplied by the “wow factor”. Sells bred to calve to HOC Dakota (ASA#3227853) in April. *Selling half interest with the option to double down on the hammer price. In the event that buyer elects to double up Shipwreck Cattle and Bar O Cattle retain the right to a minimum of 8 freezable embryos at their expense and buyer’s convenience within two years of date of purchase. Video available, feel free to contact (806) 983-7226 for a link.

AI: GSC GCCO Dew North 102C, Due 3/24/2020

This female is a “rare bird” with her phenotype & EPD’s combined. Chesney Steenhoek had a successful show season with this female winning Res. B & O at the 2019 Simmental Jr. National & Res. Division Champion at the NAILE open show. This female will excel in the Donor Pen most importantly. Her dam WHF Summer 365C was a dominating force in the showring in 2016-2017 winning Supreme female at the American Royal & Iowa State Fair as well as the NAILE Open Show Champion. Summer 50F is a female with an outcross pedigree, with the power and look to raise both bulls & females!

Pedigree alone will draw you into this striking, May born bred heifer. Her sire needs no introduction and the dam side of this female follows suit. Hailing from the famous She’s so Sweet cow family, champions and high sellers are as common as blue skies and green grass. She’s a direct daughter of So Sweet 104x, whose accomplishments include the $100,000 Hammertime bull and a $75,000 High Regard, that won the Ohio State Fair. Stellar look, bone, and hair is accompanied by a massive center body and beautiful running gear which makes this female a front pasture feature for years to come. *Retaining two flushes, or a minimum of 12 transferable embryos.

Trennepohl Farms and Hicks Cattle Co. | Scott Trennepohl (765) 620-1700 A huge improvement opportunity from Serena 74Y, the amazing leader at Trennepohl Farms and Hicks Cattle, the last flush that sold from this great cow produced a $100,000 heifer calf and much more for the buyers. Own this flush option to access the power of Serena 74Y, herself a Denver, Louisville, Indiana State Fair and National Classic Champion, the dam of nearly $2 million in progeny sales, and now one of the most influential females in the ASA herdbook. Progeny from this cow include multiple national and local winners, highproduction donor cows, and AI sire sons selling as high as $184,000. The 2015 Frozen Gold Sale featured the right to flush Serena 74Y and that $24,500 investment yielded several top cattle for Farmer/Martin/ Jenkins the most notable of which is a daughter by Pilgrim that sold for $100,000 and was later selected as the Reserve Grand Champion of the 2017 NAILE Jr Show and the 2017 AJSA National Classic. That daughter has since recorded a $24,750 average on her first two calves to sell. Another from that split flush by Utah was selected by the Cody Blackford Family and Circle T Simmentals at $50,500 the “The One” sale in Denver 2019. Serena 74Y still has plenty left to give and presents plenty of options when it comes to sire selection. Invest in the best here.

Gypsy Soul is one of the first Enterprise daughters to sell at auction. Enterprise is a full brother to the high selling bull at The Cowtown Classic in 2018, Exclusive. She is out of a Wide Body x Annie K cow and, as you can see from the picture, she is correct on her feet and legs with the belly swoop that everyone desires these days. She has all that, plus the look it takes to go out and win banners. This one is worth your time and money to make the trip to Cowtown.

This young heifer has had a rough go to this point. Her dam, the great TNGL Hope’s Blessing died about 2 weeks after we tried flushing her. The heifer would have been about 2 months old at the time and struggled to keep up with the others of the same age. Over the last couple months though, this heifer has just really turned it on. A mid-May heifer that has that special kind of look. A long skinny neck, perfect feet and legs, and a big sweeping rib shape. Females like this one prove that Red River Farms made the right decision in purchasing this tremendous cow. 012G has a great combination of power and look.

Big time opportunity! Here is a chance to add something special and unique to your herd. This bull has a stacked pedigree that offers a heavy influence of the legendary Panarama 204Z. This bulls mother is maternal sib to the influential bull Profit. The Hammer line of genetics is also starting to show its prominence for many cattlemen around the nation. You won’t find many bulls that have the power and rib to enhance the bottom line of any commercial producer, but also possess the athleticism to raise durable long lasting females that make herds better. This bull has been successfully shown this summer and fall and is ready to fit in an operation where ever needed. Come see him in person and be impressed or give us a call. He’s worth the trip!

Comfort Ranch/GB Cattle | Greg Burden (405) 780-0372

Fool Proof is just that… he’s big footed and big boned with style to burn. He’s backed by a flat-out awesome cow, GVC Hottie, who sold for $30,000 in two different dispersals and produced two full sisters: One that won the 2019 Fort Worth Stock Show and one that was the high selling female at the Comfort Ranch Dispersal for $30,000 going to Griswold. If you have moderate female cow that need a shot of length and performance, then this is the bull you need.

OPPORTUNITY AWAITS!!!! Magnificent Dreams is a stellar black-baldy female that needs no introduction to the Simmental breed. “Dreams” has had quite the fan club, not only in the show ring, but throughout her years in production, currently boasting 169 registered progeny to her credits and climbing, ranking her toward the top of ASA’s list of Most Prolific Donor Cows. This cow family consistently produces cattle that are sound, functional, efficient and have added attractiveness that makes them easily marketable. We are extremely proud to offer up IVF sexed heifer embryos by JSSC Widebody and OBCC CMFM Deplorabull. Widebody daughters have topped The Black Label Event in years past, and understandably why…...they are flat out AWESOME!! Semen from this deceased stud is extremely scarce and this is an excellent opportunity to get your hands on his championship genetics. Luckily enough, this past year we were able to get our hands on a few units of the young stud, “Deplorabull”, and is a mating that we look to with excitement and enthusiasm, having immense potential for big time revenue. Progeny and frozen gems have sold to many progressive cattlemen and we have heard nothing but rave reviews from the breeders who have wisely invested. Make it a must to be the lucky buyer when the hammer drops and be able to put your farm/ranch prefix in front of your next champion and/or donor prospect. **Guaranteeing one (1)-60 day pregnancy on each mating if work is performed by a licensed and certified IVF technician.

What a great opportunity to acquire genetics out of a past national champion female and two of the hottest up and coming sires in the Simmental breed! WLTR Lydia 39U needs no introduction as she has consistently produced high sellers and champions all over the country. A maternal sister to these embryos, RGRS WLTR Heather 10A ET, was the Champion % Simmental Heifer at the 2014 NWSS as a heifer calf. RGRS SRG Two Step 20Z ET, another maternal brother, was the Champion Simmental Bull at the 2014 Simmental Breeder’s Sweepstakes and has seen heavy use by some of the breed’s most respected cattlemen over the years. The County O mating has already made a splash, as a full sister recently sold for $30,000 private treaty this past fall. We believe the mating to Something About Mary could be next level, though. Take your pick, because we believe you can’t go wrong with either mating.

Another Fort Worth history note, one that has been told many of times over the years. These embryos are from a direct daughter of Annie K 330Y, the 2014 National Champion SimAngus female of the 2014 Fort Worth Stock Show. 165C has produced numerous sons and daughters that have highlighted marketing venues for both Hidden Oaks and Shipwreck Cattle over the recent years. Her cattle have been noted for the extra power of shape, bone, foot, and value added performance. The flush that produced this lot is a sire/ son blended conventional flush. Old School style with predictable genetics! It’s been mentioned more than once about the popularity of the Bloomberg bred Berwick stud, but little has been noted about his sire, Rockin. P Legendary. The Legendary cattle are not plentiful in population, but when found they are fundamentally right with body, balance, and soundness. So, after witnessing Berwick’s flat smooth look, we also invested in the remaining Legendary sexed heifer semen left in inventory. With the significant cost of both bull’s semen, we decided to double down, throw all the chips in and used Berwick conventional and Legendary heifer semen to make these embryos. *Selling 3 embryos, guaranteeing one pregnancy if the work is performed by a certified embryologist.

B125 has etched her own page in Cowtown Classic history. The first live lot marketed the Cowtown Classic in 2018 sold for $15,500 to the Culpepper Family of Gonzales, TX that they campaigned in the 2019 Texas Major season and went on to claim Reserve Simmental Female honors at both San Antonio and Houston Junior heifer shows. In the 2019 Cowtown Classic, another daughter was the featured high seller, SWC Ruby Wicked Fran, that was purchased by Bar QH Simmental of Illinois for a $30,000 hammer price. Wicked Fran was awarded 2019 NWSS Jr. Calf Champion, 2019 Reserve Calf Champion Fort Worth Stock Show, and was Division Champion and 3rd overall female at the 2019 AJSA South Central Regional. In addition to the Fort Worth Sale Success stories, B125 produced a daughter of Counter Attack that commanded over $13,000 in the 2019 Black Label Fall Edition and was the selection of the great junior showman, Megan Brown of Alabama. Both matings are Reverse Sort IVF Females. The Battle Cry mating would yield the full sister mating to the successful Culpepper female. We look forward to the Berwick mating and expect great things to surface from this young herdsire. He’s a featured lot in the 2020 Embryos on Snow and the buzz word of the industry. The anticipation factor alone should be enough to entice one’s interest. Both sires of choice are awesome looking, skeletally legit, with proven merit to invest. *Selling choice of matings. 3 embryos guaranteeing one pregnancy if work in done by a certified embryologist. Scarlet has definitely been a personal favorite of mine for quite some time, as well as one of the most instrumental females in our program. I truly feel like it is an incredible feat in today’s competitive times for a donor to be able to produce bull offspring, as well as heifers. Well, Scarlet hasn’t disappointed in that regard. She has produced sons that have hung banners, and more importantly they are siring high quality offspring. Several of her daughters have been high sellers at our place and those customers that have purchased embryos have been able to raise high sellers in their programs. *Embryos are IVF embryos made by Trans Ova and produced with conventional semen. Numerous show ring champions and high sellers have been produced by the late Wide Body, who will have a long-lasting impact on the breed. With very limited semen put up and extreme limited use, this is an extraordinarily rare opportunity to acquire semen on a truly unique breeding bull that doesn’t miss.
