These flushmate brothers are the result of a flush Wyatt and myself acquired off of C-Bar out of the famed Mimi 458B. This wicked looking John Wick son is truly red angus royalty. His sire took the breed by storm, with semen bringing $3,500 a straw, when you can find it. Built like a Mack truck, massive from end to end, with a silly amount of center third and body, and packing one of the biggest and squarest hips you’ll see anywhere this spring. He can park with a look as competitive as any, and as cool of a disposition as any practical minded breeder could want. I assure you he can get out and motor, despite being a little sore on his back left on picture and video day due to bulls being bulls. It’s tough to find Red Angus cattle made like this thing. The best flush we had born last spring. We transferred 3 Resource x 425X embryos in 2021, and had two heifer calves, who brought $31,500 and $12,000 for half interest in our Reds on the Rise sale this past fall, and Lot 11 is the third. One of those sisters won Division 2 at Cattlemen’s Congress, and was just Reserve Red Angus last week at OYE. Trendy is certainly the best description word I could label this Resource son with. Tremendous in the shape to this center third, packing some real dimension and shape throughout. With an incredible amount of reach and bend off his hind two, and his tall fronted front end skeleton that still remains laid back in its angle, this soft haired herd sire is built for the times. Several summers ago on a pasture tour at C- Red Angus, I was enamored by a flush of Independence x 458b heifer calves. 8134 in particular continued to hold my attention with her striking presence and unparalleled look of balance that was evident even at that age. Fast forward a couple years, Steve still had her at the ranch with an impressive young resume and I jumped at the opportunity to acquire a pair of flushes. Lots 12 and 14 are the result of the initial mating to red eagle. Lot 12’s ultra unique look, shape, and stoutness of feature is sure hard to miss; and the dark red masculine 14 is just tough to make. Plus, their maternal granddam is one of the most impressive mature red females I’ve laid eyes on.

One of my favorites from the start, and a bull I enjoy looking at every day. He’s so chunky, soft bodied, and smooth made, yet sports a big square ass and a massive pin set, that width stays consistent all the way down to a bold stifle, and pried apart base. His build is impeccable, with a foot shape that any critic would approve of, a hind leg shape with the mobility that every judge would carry on about, and a proud fronted look that sits atop the correct angle. His mother gets me pumped on the daily, this being her first calf, who weaned off at 808 Lbs, I IVFed her 29 days after calving, she made 19 embryos, flushed her several more times, she bred back on the first try, all while raising this stud as a heifer.
