I’ve been excited about this bull since last spring and at every turn he has been the solid choice. He made the trip to Denver as our first Angus display bull and made lots of friends for his shape, length, foot quality, docility and overall dimension. His kind screams cow maker and that is because he comes from one of the best Upgrade cows on the ranch. She holds the record for heaviest adjusted weaning weight on WR Big Joe H4008 a past sale feature to Freouf Angus that she raised at 10 years old. She raised Sandhills as her natural calf to be the heaviest adjusted weaning weight fall bull. 9 natural calves have a birth ratio of 98, weaning at 108 and yearling at 105. Her fertility was shown through the fact that we flushed her, transferred the eggs to make Lots 5 & 6 and had a calf born 6 days after the ETs. She’s special. Her daughters are special. In today’s cattle industry, cow numbers are as short as they have ever been. Sandhills is the kind of bull to breed heifers to and make cows that will be in your herd 20 years from now. He’s the next level.

2nd heaviest adjusted 205 day weight and 3rd heaviest yearling fall Angus bull. Montana Grassland got dropped off 3 days after we flushed and transplanted eggs in fall 2020. I kicked him out with the donors and these 3 bulls are the results. You can’t ask for any more maternal genetics than the Galaxy Blackbird cow on the top side and this Upgrade Y285 cow on the bottom side of this bull’s pedigree. He’s got Accomplishment sired brothers in the springs and falls, this Y285 cow makes them consistently high quality. She sports 108 weaning and yearling ratios on 8 natural calves and a 111 IMF ratio on 4 bulls.

This natural calf off one of my absolute favorite cows on the place. He’s one of the youngest fall bulls in the sale but he just keeps coming. By turn out time he’ll look like the Stellar maternal brothers that sell as Lots 30-32. He’s 2nd in the fall division with a feed conversion of 4.02. He will be the buy of the sale if his daughters look like his mother and steers that could save you $0.50 on a cost of gain basis.

Long, stout, a 5.09 F:G converter that excels in numerical values. He’s one of the most docile bulls in the entire offering. If you want one to lead around with a bucket, here’s your guy.
