01_ Sharing Chair visual reversal: there is more possibility in the image of what we see.

A project which was start from non-objectives class, I painted two lines on my note book. It makes me think of this will be interesting if I change the 2D painting into 3D objects. So I started to try and reverse the shape to the way that we used to thinking. Sharing Chair / wood, glue / 40*20*40 cm / 2015

In a week of non-objective class, professor asked us drawing anything we can imagine while he was playing a piece of music. And we have to draw in 30 seconds after music end. I remembered that in the third piece of music, all I can feel is sadness, grief and sorrow, seems like you have lost someone you love and you can’t meet that person anymore. So I just draw two lines in a second, don’t even think of the image I draw is look like a grave. After the class, I start to thinking if I change this image and feelings into the whole different way, whether the shape or the way we look, I want to reverse it to the opposite side, and HAVE FUN !

_07

First, I turn the image up side down.

And second, make it be trapezoid instead of rectangle.

Trapezoid can shape into more different type of polygon.

Green The Pink,Taipei Free Art Fair

- Green The Pink This art piece is from my friend, Jessica Pan. The concept is about a person who indulge in a lot of drunk food, such as french fries, burgers and potato chicps, especially fried chicken. In this condition, this person know that all these food are unhelthy but she can’t stop eating it, she is very struggle about it so decide to paint the food, and put some broccoli on the surface to pretend she eat a lot of healthy food. In order to express more struggle feelings, Jessica asked me to design a table and chair into her art piece.

_13

Just like the frame and net, Jessica told me this story is about struggle. And I look to the fried chicken, then come up to an idea that I can make a chair look like chicken cage, correlate with the struggle and limited feeling.

The structure of this chair is used rabbet way to combine each pieces with. For easy operations and convenient installation. Each Cage chair can also stacked on another one easily.

A project which made in “material and structure” lesson. In this course, professor said “why not make a kayak by ourselves?” So there is thirty students split into five groups, and design each own kayak. I had a lot of fun in the prograss of making this kayak, and I will never forget the moment we ride it in the lake first time, that is the sense of accomplishment!
