Competition Guidelines
• Students compete in an event based on their year of birth.
• Students must compete in their own age division event.
• All students are expected to participate unless medically unfit.
• Students not fit to compete need to present a note of explanation addressed to their Head of House/Coordinator prior to the day, unless it is an ongoing medical problem.
• Students must compete in their House shirt.
• Appropriate shoes must be worn whilst competing.
• Maps of the courses have been distributed via FIDO.
• School Officials will supervise checkpoints along the tracks to help ensure students run the correct course.
• Students caught cheating will be disqualified.
• Students are expected to bring a personal water bottle on the day.
Recording Procedures
• Each competitor finishing the course will be handed a numbered ticket.
• Each competitor will be numbered with their student ID number and must wear their coloured age band to distinguish their age. Bands are distributed at the start.
• Competitors need to give their ticket, band and number to the official recorders who will then inform them of their place within their own age division.
• Students who do not present their tickets or bands to the official recorders at the finish line will not score points for their House.
• All other competitors receive points for their House.
First Aid Procedures
• Competitors must ensure they are fully hydrated and should have eaten during the morning.
• If students feel unwell during the event, they must approach the teacher at the closest checkpoint.
• Competitors who use inhalers must carry them on the run.
• A First Aid tent will be attended by staff behind the finish line.
