Successful crossover of styles and eras The inspirational combination of eras and styles, the steady increase in quality and the open, elegant ambience: With a clear concept, Cologne Fine Art & Antiques has re-established itself in recent years as the leading trade fair for the art world. Year after year, there has been an increasing number of traditional dealers returning, while the surfacing of new names is further enriching the event. Covering a broad spectrum of content and facilitating the crossover of modern art, the ancient masters, applied art, design and work on paper, the Cologne Fine Art & Antiques is no longer just an event for Germany. The premiere of the segment “Working on paper has been positively received across the board: successfully expanding on what is already offered. “The Cologne Fine Art & Antiques fair has created a new section for ‘Works on Paper’. As well as the consistently high quality of the exhibits, the particular highlight of this space is the immediate proximity of Old Masters and large-format contemporary art.” Handelsblatt, 18 November 2011

“An elegant, open art space is on offer here – far from being a “mini-TEFAF”, COFAA proves to be an arts fair in its own right. Focal points are: paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries; antique and contemporary furniture and handicrafts; silverware and china; art from outside Europe; and contemporary design.” FAZ, 19 November 2011

“There was a very elegant lustre to Cologne Fine Art & Antiques. And that’s always a good sign for a trade fair. COFAA intends to overcome the imaginary divide between old and modern art and there can be no doubt it succeeded with its range of exhibits from luxury Asian art through to contemporary design.” www.handelsblatt.com, 15 November 2011

“And it is this crossover that in turn will ensure the success of the fair. Informationsdienst Kunst, 24 November 2011

“Will Cologne succeed in returning to its old glory? The Cologne Fine Art & Antiques is certainly playing its part, at any rate: with generational leaps, solidity and a lavish atmosphere. The crossover of eras from the Iron Age to the eighties attracts a wide audience – thereby even rivalling the competitors in Paris and London.” Artnet.com, 16 November 2011
