JEE Main 2015 Online Application Form FAQs While the exam schedule for JEE Main 2015 has already been declared and candidates has began applying for the examination, we have come across a series of questions and doubts related to JEE Main 2015 Application Form. Plancess has come up with a detailed solution to every question related to JEE Main 2015 Online Application Form. Candidates can read and find answers to their questions below: Question # 1 If a candidate fails to book his/her session for online examination after paying JEE Main 2015 examination fees, how will he/she know about the date and session of the exam? Solution If a candidate does not make any selection, he/she shall be randomly assigned a slot/date as per the availability of the same (Read JEE Main 2015 Information Brochure Page 11). Details of the slot and session will be mentioned on JEE Main 2015 Admit Card, which can be downloaded from 1st March 2015. Question #2 Is there any provision for candidates appearing for both the examinations (Paper 1 and Paper II) at different centres? Solution Since Paper 2 is only in offline mode, a candidate who is appearing for both the papers, Paper I being online mode and Paper 2 offline mode will get only such centers that have facility for both the modes of JEE Main examination. For example: Test centers for this could be PATNA: PEN & PAPER BASED and COMPUTER BASED. Kindly refer to Appendix 2 of JEE Main 2015 information bulletin. *Note: A candidate cannot be issued two different roll numbers and separate JEE Main 2015 Admit Cards to appear from the different examination centers for both the papers. Question #3 Can a Diploma Student Apply for JEE Main 2015? Solution Yes, to appear for JEE Advanced 2015 a diploma holder can apply for JEE Main 2015. However, his/her rank and score will not be declared, as a diploma holder cannot apply for admission in NITs and CFTIs through JEE Main channel. Question #4 What are HSC Vocational Courses?


Solution Different states can have different HSC Vocational Courses, hence students of different states will have to verify it from their particular state. Question #5 If a candidate has qualified in 2013 and has appeared for improvement examination in 2014 and is again going for improvement in 2015, what he will fill in the academic details section Solution In such case, he/she will fill in: Year of Passing 12th /Qualifying Examination – 2013 Roll Number of either year – 2013/2014 (as per candidate’s wish) Percentage of same year as the Roll number provided – 2013/2014 Appearing for Improvement of Class 12th /Qualifying Examination – YES Kindly refer JEE Main 2015 Information Brochure, page 3, where it is written that the marks of Class 12th/Equivalent Examination will be displayed on the website of JEE Main during the second week of June 2015. The candidates will have to verify these marks and confirm on the website. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate should upload the copy of the mark-sheet online only latest by 25th June 2015 on JEE (Main) website. During this period i.e. after the declaration of result of qualifying examination, the candidate may update their request to consider the total marks of a mark-sheet having relatively good marks out of the mark-sheet of passing year or improvement year.

Question #6 Which thumb impression do candidate has to apply on the attendance sheet Solution Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2015 examination are required to apply the same thumb impression on the attendance sheet as applied on JEE Main 2015 Online Application Form. left thumb impression – for boys right thumb impression – for girls Question #7 What if the candidate has no thumb? Solution


In that case, he/she can upload the impression of finger or foot thumb. Also, the same should be applied on the attendance sheet during examination. Question #8 What if a photograph is not having name and date? Will it be rejected? Solution It is mentioned in the brochure that candidate’s name and date on which photograph is taken is to be mentioned on the photo. But in case the uploaded photograph does have name and date, the form will NOT be rejected and NO correction is required in such a case. Question #9 How will an NRI or a foreign candidate enter his/her mobile number? Solution Such candidates can enter their mobile number against the landline number field. Question #10 Can a candidate change the JEE Main examination mode (post form submission)? Solution Yes, but a candidate can change mode of examination from pen and paper (offline) exam to computer based (online) only. Question #11 What JEE Main 2015 Application Form mistakes cannot be rectified in January 2015? Solution Change in exam centre, mode of exam from computer based test (online) to pen and paper based (offline), and change in date of online examination will NOT be normally allowed. Question #12 In case of failed transaction, what a candidate can do while paying the fee? Solution If the payment status of online transaction (by credit/debit card) is not communicated by payment gateway in real time then fee payment is not completed. After balancing if the amount is found debited, the same will be processed at payment gateway for refund. Candidates are required to pay the fees again either through online transaction or by e- challan to download the acknowledgement page. Your amount will be refunded back within 7 to10 days.
