Exams to be conducted by NTA and not CBSE. NEET Exams will now be conducted twice a year instead of just once. Earlier exam used to be held in May. From now on, it will held in Feb. & May. Exam will only be conducted in the online mode only. No exams to be held in pen and paper mode. Exam dates will be flexible, and students will have 8 different sittings to choose from. No official changes about syllabus, exam paper pattern and eligibility criteria has been announced yet.

Age Limit for NEET To be able to qualify for NEET 2019, a student must have been born on or between 07 May 1993 and 01 Jan 2003. The minimum qualifying age is 17, and the maximum qualifying age is 25 for candidates under the general category. For SC/ST/OBC candidates, there’s an age relaxation of 5 years. This means that if a student falls under the above mentioned category, and is born on or between 07 May 1988 and 01 Jan 2003, then he or she will be also be deemed eligible for NEET 2019. Students should mandatorily have subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology in there +2 course. Students who have either cleared Higher Secondary Exam with the said subject group or has appeared for the exam but is awaiting results can apply.

Candidates from open schools/private schools are not eligible to apply. Students who had Biology/Biotechnology as an additional subject (and not core subject) are not eligible to apply. Students must have studied English as a compulsory subject. Minimum Percentage Required Belonging to General/ Unreserved - 50% Students Educated Abroad - 50% Students with Disabilities - 45% Belonging to SC/ST/OBC - 40%
No. of Attempts for NEET Please note that there are no limited number of attempts for NEET exam but there is an upper limit criterion on age. Students cannot appear for NEET exam post 25 years of age. NEET Eligibility for Overseas Candidates Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons with Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign National are eligible to appear in NEET UG- 2019. As far as NRIs, OCIs and PIOs are concerned, their admissibility to NEET 2019 will be subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments, Institution and the Government of India. Candidates who are Foreign Nationals may confirm their eligibility from the concerned Medical/ Dental College/State. Candidates pertaining to any of the categories will be eligible for 15% All India Quota seats.
