Module Brief Title: Product, Range & Distribution
STUDIO BRIEF 1: Project Proposal Project Rationale What do you intend to do and why? I am going to make six covers for six of the Sherlock Holmes stories. I intend to put them on a range of different applications such as tote bags, books, and poster billboards.
THEMES / SUBJECTS What Themes/Subjects will form the content of your work for this module? This should include theoretical and non-creative based content and concerns. This section should identify your consideration of the social, cultural, ethical and creative concerns of contemporary Illustration practice. GENERAL THEMES: I want to have an overall theme that will spread across each of the covers I make, each book having a similar wreathe made from leaves, with a main image that will be a subtle hint to the plot within the story the cover is for. Each book will be white, as I want them to look the same and as a set, and I want to get rid of the dark, dull colours that are usually always used for the Sherlock Holmes books by using a crisp white.
SPECIFIC SUBJECTS: Thread bobbin, orange pips, coins, Persian slippers, gemstones, bees.
