Our social affairs during the middle of a Quarter are neve~ ·;rr:__r.y nany, so Alpha Beta hasn 1 t a great many things to report this m o ~1· j;~ ~·l1c t't7o sororities, SDX and ASA gave an informal afternoon party to t hP raculty ladies and to all the girls in school. This helped wonderful · · ~y to get us acquainted with e·verypody and to do avray vri th any feel in ~ of aloofness between the sorority and non-sorority girls. Our rival, SDX, ts petitioning for an sss charter. and 't"!il1 vrobably succeed in senuring it. 17e have asked them for an ofternoo~ date during the visit of their national installing officer, so that no may give n reception in their honor. We shoulc like to have this op portunity to meet any member of the SSS Council, who may be here, and uc should like very much to establish the plensantest kind of relation~ with our rivcl. · Our School has just suffered a great loss in the death of russ Ophelia Parrish, our librarian.
