Research indicates women continue to lag behind men in financial literacy—a disparity with far-reaching implications. Alpha Sigma Tau is proud to provide members the opportunity to ensure financial empowerment through the delivery of MoneySmarts U. Alpha Sigma Tau is committed to being a leader in ending sexual violence. That is why we are proud to provide Not Anymore to our members and volunteers. Not Anymore is an engaging online program designed to educate members on sexual assault and relationship violence and empower healthy relationships in our communities. Alpha Sigma Tau empowers women by prioritizing opportunities for leadership development. Some skills are developed informally while others are developed through program offerings such as Illuminate, our peer-facilitated four-year member development initiative.
Health and Safety Initiatives Alpha Sigma Tau strives to be the safest place for women on a college campus. We believe that when our members' actions are guided by the values and skills of our Sisterhood, they make safer decisions for themselves and others. Health and safety initiaitves through the EverFi Prevention Suite (GreekLifeEdu, AlcoholEdu for Sanctions, and Prescription Drug Abuse) are examples of how we make good on this promise. Throughout each course's interactive scenarios, students learn to leverage our organization values and their individual strengths—leading to a safer environment for all. Health and safety initiatives, including mental health and crisis support, will continue to be a funding priority in the 2020-2021 year.
