2024 FALL REPORT
January – September
Building for a Bold Future
Your love for Jesus and your commitment to sharing the good news in a good way is evident through your faithful prayers and generous support. Because of you, Alpha USA has continued to provide the training and resources needed for churches, organizations, and individuals to run Alpha at no cost. Your gifts have helped create space for people to discover a relationship with Jesus and experience God's love in a meaningful way.
We want to provide more people with the opportunity to participate in Alpha next year than ever before. To accomplish this goal, we have broadened our foundation and established structures and processes to serve churches, parishes, and organizations across the U.S. more effectively. This year, we restructured the Alpha USA team to help us prepare for the future and move into a new season. The new structure has allowed our staff to serve in more specialized roles, created new teams, reduced redundancy, and strengthened our partnership with Alpha International.
Your generosity has provided for a number of contextualized products that allow more people to take Alpha and experience the love and message of Jesus. We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the new Alpha Youth Film Series. This series has the potential to impact millions of teens and strengthen youth ministries. The Chinese Alpha Film Series has had an incredible impact worldwide, and more resources are available than ever for our Spanish-speaking communities. Follow the Journey, our docuseries filmed in New York City, provides real-life examples of what it can look like to run Alpha in different contexts, which is inspiring churches across the country.
During the first three quarters of 2024, an estimated 6,400 churches and ministries provided opportunities for over 390,500 people to discover and develop a relationship with Jesus through the more than 12,600 Alphas run nationwide. Hundreds of thousands of people have been able to explore the Christian faith and ask questions in a safe environment.
We are so grateful to God for you. You are investing in the evangelization of the nations, the revitalization of the Church, and the transformation of society. Jesus is using your prayers, financial support, and the volunteering of your talent, time, and abilities to change the world. Thank you!
Alpha Youth
There has been such a sense of excitement throughout Alpha globally as we anticipate the launch of the new Alpha Youth Film Series. Designed for this generation, the new series creatively unpacks young people's questions about the Christian faith in a relevant, accessible, and engaging way. Eight young hosts who want to impact their generation were selected from across the globe for this series.
There is an incredible need to help teens discover and develop a relationship with Jesus and grow in faith, as 2.3 billion people worldwide are under the age of 18. The new Alpha Youth Film Series will be initially released in 11 subtitled languages. Within 18 months, the series will be translated into 55 languages, and eight contextualized versions will be created.
This year, the Alpha Youth team was busy preparing to meet an increased demand of churches and ministries that want to run the new series. This included upgrading our systems and platforms, creating updated training resources,

developing marketing materials, and adding staff to support a broad launch of the series in 2025.
The Alpha Youth team is committed to investing in youth ministry leaders and envisioning them to a new future of youth ministry. Through the Alpha YTH Collective, the Circles + Spaces Leadership Cohort, and the Every Generation Tour, we come alongside youth leaders and help them build relationships, discover essential skills for engaging the emerging generation, collaborate across denominations, and promote intergenerational ministry within the Church.

"Alpha became a place of family and community where I can be myself without being judged, and now I'm a child of God."

Training Churches
Our team hosted training events to equip churches and ministries to run Alpha, Alpha Youth, The Marriage Course, or to serve as a coach. Twenty-eight local trainings were run by hub church leaders and coaches in 17 states, in addition to the trainings our team led. A variety of Alpha roundtables were held monthly this year to meet increased demand for running Alpha in the workplace, launching Alpha well, hosting the Alpha Day or weekend away, and creating a culture of hospitality.
The Alpha Prisons team increased the number of prisons running Alpha and expanded into additional states this year. The team continued to train volunteers, build relationships with prison officials and chaplains, and increase awareness about Alpha. They also assembled a resource toolkit to help churches and individuals run Alpha in a prison context. In Nebraska, Alpha was recognized as one of the most popular resources in the prison system.
"Alpha has completely changed my life! It has put me back on God's plan for my life, which is better than I could have ever imagined."
– Lauren, Alpha guest
Alpha Catholic Context
We are excited to welcome Jason Kidd as the new National Director of Alpha Catholic Context. Jason joined the team in July, having previously served with the Archdiocese of Portland, where he lives with his wife and four children.
The Alpha Catholic team is actively engaging with parishes and dioceses across the U.S. to incorporate Alpha and Alpha Youth into their evangelization efforts. The Diocesan Partnership Strategy, which includes four dioceses and represents more than 550 parishes, has played a key role in revitalizing an evangelistic culture through contextualized culture conversations, training and empowering key parish leaders, gathering for monthly prayer, and centrally hosted retreats.
A number of parishes have continued to incorporate Alpha Youth into their Confirmation preparation, and an expanding number of Catholic schools have integrated Alpha Youth into their middle and high school programs.
"I see the culture of Alpha as a powerful catalyst for revitalizing Catholic parishes. Their focus on listening, hospitality, empowerment, and reliance on the Holy Spirit aligns perfectly with the Church's mission to evangelize in the 21st century."
– Jason Kidd, National Director of Alpha Catholic Context
The Alpha Conference
More than 1,400 people registered for The Alpha Conference in Franklin, Tennessee, in July. Together, we experienced two powerful days of joyful worship, anointed prayer, engaging speakers, training and workshops, and receiving from the Holy Spirit. A Night with Alpha: Youth, a free online event, will be held in November to launch the new Alpha Youth Film Series.
The Alpha Conference will be held July 23-24, 2025, at Church of the City in Franklin. We hope you will make plans to join us! Register at alphausa.org/the-alphaconference.
