Objective: Due to the reduction of the United States’ Department of Defense Military Budget, the secretary of Defense has made a final decision to close Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah GA as of June of 2013. As a result of the military base closure, the city of Savannah will conduct a study of potential future development of the site. As partnership with the city of Savannah, The Savannah Economic Development Authority and The Coastal Business, Education, Technology Alliance, The Savannah College of Art and Design, Architecture Department has been asked to develop proposals regarding the future development of the site.
