Location Area Program

Kemang Hotel

: Jl. Kemang Raya, Jakarta : 7400 sqm : Hotel

Kemang Gallery Hotel is one of my 4th year projects. The objection of the studio was to learn about creating sequence of spaces in the building. With hotel program, the sequence I created was about stages of sleeping how people experience the conciousness, sleep and last, light sleep to deepsleep until dream. They are represented by the experience in every space from frontier public space, lobby, until the inner courtyard by varies height of floating boxes of massings. The public restaurants and shops building is the heaviest box-closes to the ground as sleepy stage, the passage before entering the lobby is designed as the long and dark tunnel representing sleep and last stage, the lobby and the hotels are the lightest boxes.

Location Area Program

: Alam Sutera Tangerang : 3000 sqm : Library

The community library is my 3th year project. The objection of the studio was to learn how to create building massing considering the context around it. The massing of the library was designed by considering the shophouses in the left part, wasteland in front and in the right side, and the university in southeast part. The library is proposed for families in Alam Sutera to learn and and to spend time in library.

Location Area Program

: Banyuwangi Traditional Market : 2000 sqm : Traditional Market

The objection of this project is to renovate the old market in Banyuwangi where there is overlapping programs between selling and buying activities and also the sirculation of the vehicle in the middle road which seperate the market area into two parts. The road sometimes is also used to held carnaval. The solution proposed was to create bridge and elevate some spaces of the market to higher level. It also designed as the gate to enter the central area of the city which is government area, inspired by the roof of Banyuwangi Traditional House.

Mapping of modular walls location

The zoning and massing design by analyzing the surrounding of the site

By questioning the meaning of modul. We found it as the basic form of more complex form. It gave us an idea that the building itself is a container to accomodate people to leave, than the smallest part to build it can be defined as a container too.

The design proposed is to create the basic elements of the building which is wall to be a set of container using plywood and steel frame. This containers can be easily replaced

and rebuilt, closed or opened to contained anything and anywhere.

Location Area Stories

: Jl. Kemenangan, Glodok, Jakarta : 50 sqm : 3 floor

This project is designed as a multifamily house in the middle of Jakarta old Chinatown in narrow land. The basic idea is the traditional house of Chinese where the families live in seperated room and gather in the middle area as living room and dining room. The first step is to seperate where is the gathering space and where is the private space. Surrounded by shophouses, it is designed with the narrow facade and public space in the ground floor.
