Folly by the Lake: Memories That Inspire Change Instructor: Maggie Hansen
The design project creates an abstract landscape installation that orchestrates human interaction with a conceptual lake site. As the visitor approaches the site and descends the stairs, they are greeted with growing frames of the lake. The bottom platform offers an unobstructed view of the lake and an interactive experience with the water. Render of Staircase and Window View

Coraline’s Hair Clip
Instructor: Maggie Hansen
The cyborg creation was inspired by the movie, Coraline, where a young girl, often depicted with a dragonfly hair clip, discovers an “Other World” that is bizarre yet wonderful. It is imagined that perhaps the opposite - a dragonfly hair clip cyborg could exist in this world. This iteration of the cyborg utilizes the hinging of the clip for additional storage, hidden wings (shown to the right) and balance while obelisking at the top of a plant.
