BRANDINTRODUCTION A major focus of the re-brand is to strip away everything that is Adventure Dome and replace it with a fully-formed concept that the modern, digital age can enjoy.

ADVENTUREDOME Adventure Dome, previously Grand Slam Canyon, was a 5-acre indoor amusement park open yearround located at Circus Circus on the Las Vegas Strip. The park was enclosed in a large glass dome, and offered 25 rides and attractions.

UPDATED

CYBERDOME Cyber Dome is an electronic dystopian theme-park taking place in the city of Cyberton in the year 2720. The “city” is located within a 5-acre glass dome and offers 27 virtual reality gaming experiences as well as 17 rides and attractions.

5

LOGO The logo concept is simple, but effective. It combines two major elements of the park: its name and its shape. In the modern, advanced society that is Cyberton, minimalism thrives.

ABC

A modern, futuristic typeface is used as part of the design.

7

LOGOVARIATIONS The main logo should typically be displayed as a white dome with blue text on a dark background. This has to do with the neon nature of the theme park. Color variations, specifically those included in the palette, are acceptable when the logo is not placed on a dark background. The logo can be presented as a logotype. The image below are acceptable ways to use the logotype.

LOGOERRORS The logo should never be portrayed in colors other than those described in the color palette. Any other colors can disrupt the overall branding. The logo should not be stretched, rotated or distorted in any way. The dark version of the logo should never be placed on a dark background. This makes it difficult to see. (Same goes for a light logo on a light background). The formatting of the logo should not be altered (for ex., flipping the dome, placing the type on top of the dome, etc.) The logo should not be used without the title.

9

LOGOSIZING Clear space is the minimum “breathing room” surrounding a logo. In order to maintain a clean and meticulous appearance, always keep the amount of clear space around the logo directly proportional to the height of the text. The logo should never be sized below 1” (as depicted on this page). Additionally, do not allow the height or width of the text to exceed that of the dome. 1”

10

LOGOTYPESIZING To ensure that the logotype does not appear overcrowded, it is best to keep a clear space of 1/4” on all sides. To avoid illegibility, never size the logo below 1 1/4”. This is to make sure that the type is still easily readable. Keep in mind, the images are TO SCALE in this style guide.

COLORPALETTE Neon blue and black have been signature colors of the futuristic and digital worlds for years now (think Tron, Star Trek, etc.). These colors, with the additional contrast of white, provide Cyber Dome with a clean and modern color scheme.

TYPOGRAPHY The primary element capable of conveying mood and tone in a logo is typography. It was very important to select a typeface that could be both futuristic and dystopian at the the same time.

PHOTOTREATMENT Correct photo placement and treatment is essential when working with neon and bright colors. The main logo, as well as most of the logo variants, are meant to be seen against a dark background.

16

PHOTOTREATMENT A major intent of the logo is for it to be seen in neon. Because of this, the logo is fairly limited in terms of photo treatment.

CORRECT

The logo should ideally be placed on a dark background, with minimal lighting and clutter. As shown in the bottom-right photo, mixing a neon background with the color palette causes the elements to “blend together. Placing the main logo on top of a light background results in disappearance of the logo. It would be best to use a variant of the logo in a darker color.
