DIVISION UPDATES At the start of this month, many clubs have had their club rush week where they had many new members join! Our first RTC which many clubs attended.

On October 16, we had our Halloween DCM, where we had a spirit session, enjoyed activities service projects, and connected with other members from different schools.

We'll have another RTC this Saturday, October 23rd. These Spirit Sessions are mandatory for Fall Rally as it's important to know the chants.

Lastly, as we approach the end of the month we are still in preparation for the fall rally which is on November 13 at six flags!

Clothing Drive

Clothing Drive (CD) MinCheng Zeng Historian | Lincoln On September 12th, 2021, there was a clothing drive that took place at Lincoln High School. This event allowed members to donate old clothing, and items to those in need. The purpose of this service was to help families and students that may not have access to clothing. The club was able to produce almost 40 full bags of clothing, equating to almost 90 service hours! The donated clothing was then donated to St. Vincent De Paul Church, and homeless shelters along Skid Row to provide for those who may have been displaced, and others in need. For the first service event, we had a successful turnout!

South Gate Club Rush Esteffany Paredes

Historian| South Gate On October 7th and 8th, South Gate High School held their club rush, where many clubs could come out and share their clubs with all students. The event was held during lunch on both days. Board members represented key club by creating posters, bringing snacks, and explaining what key club is about. It was very successful since around 30+ people signed up for key club. It was a pleasant experience to talk with other students and explain our own experiences in Key Club with them. Seeing students huddle up around the key club booth ready to sign up made board members very excited for the next meeting, especially after only a few students attended the last meeting. Overall, the club rush allowed Key Club to expand its club and educate others about Key Club.
