The Kimberley Division of General Practice, trading as Boab Health Services, provides support and information to GPs and other health professional members working in the sector throughout this unique area of Western Australia; the Kimberley Region. Boab Health is also involved in a range of program areas to support GPs and their staff. Boab Health Services’ Counselling Team is comprised of mental health professionals including psychologists, mental health nurses and social workers. This multidisciplinary team provides services to individuals with mild to moderate mental health issues, using evidence-based psychological interventions. Their clients include people experiencing mental health problems who may also be using psycho-stimulants. The team also has a role in groupwork, training, community development and capacity building.
